Gameplay on the Shaded Terrace.

Shaded Terrace (こもれびの庭?, lit.: "Garden of Sunlight Through the Trees") is the 1st stage of Pikmin 3 's Bingo Battle. It seems to take place in a garden full of different flowers. Since it is the first stage, it is relatively small and has very few enemies, making it very easy to reach the opponent's side of the arena from either the middle opening or the corridors on the sides. That said, the opening in the middle is either blocked by a large grub-dog or by a dirt wall. It is possible to get Red Pikmin and Yellow Pikmin in this stage.

OverviewEdit

The Shaded Terrace seems to take place in a garden of sorts, where all kinds of colorful flowers flourish. The playable area is encapsulated in a wall of bricks and tile shingles, which itself contains two islands made from bricks and plant pots – of both ceramic and wood. This results in a sort of "figure 8" arrangement with an extension of both the left and right of the shape. The entire stage is mostly symmetrical with minor differences on both sides which boils down to the decoration of the area. The Onions are situated opposite each other in the middle with 3 paths that lead to the other side. The middle path is the quickest route but can be the most perilous, as some layouts can have an Orange Bulborb sleeping in the path, or a simple dirt wall could block the way. The top and bottom paths are usually more tame but can contain a Bulborb.

The corners of the map are massive pots that contain various flowers. These include: pansies, tulips, daisies, and woodland sage. The pots in the playable area also contain some flowers. These include gerbera and forget-me-not. Both forget-me-not and daisies are seen both in and out of the playable area.

The layout unlock order, as explained here, is B, A, C.
