The Newtolite Shell is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually an ammonite fossil.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Newtolite Shell is submerged underwater and buried under a sand mound in the northeastern corner of the Serene Shores. To collect it, you must throw 20 Blue Pikmin at it.

Notes[edit]

Schnauz's notes[edit]

This is the fossil of an ancient sea creature. Sure, it looks like nothing but a brown blob from above, but flip it over, and...SURPRISE! It sparkles like a gem lit from the inside! The iridescent pattern reminds of a water-dwelling newt found on my home planet.

Olimar's notes[edit]

A fossil excavated at the beach. From its shape, I can deduce that it was cast by an aquatic creature. That could indicate that the current site of the beach was once the ocean floor.

Louie's notes[edit]

It only took one bite of charred space newt to straighten Nana's bad back. I wonder what medicinal properties this might have.
