Decor Pikmin are Pikmin in pb that wear a costume. There are a variety of outfits that Decor Pikmin can wear, and the type of costume a Pikmin wears depends on the type of real-world location where it was found. These Pikmin can be obtained by growing a Huge Seedling, a Gold Seedling, or by leveling up a Pikmin's friendship to 4 hearts. There are also a variety of Special Decor Pikmin types that are obtained in different ways. In mushroom battles, Decor Pikmin have an additional 4 points added to their attack power.
Decor Pikmin are special Pikmin in pb that wear a costume. They have the same function as regular Pikmin, but wear a variety of decorative outfits. There are over 30 types of costumes, and over 200 types of Decor Pikmin to collect in total. Decor Pikmin can be obtained by growing a Huge Seedling, or by leveling up a Pikmin's friendship level to 4 hearts.

One way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 10 and can be found from expeditions or leveling up. Huge Seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into the empty planter, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of decor the player gets is determined by where the seedling was discovered. The Pikmin's type (color) is random.
One way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by growing a Huge Seedling. These are unlocked at level 5 and can be found from expeditions, rewarded for leveling up, or received as a reward from an event. These seedlings require 10,000 steps to grow, and after growing one in the Planter Pack, plucking it will result in an animation where the Pikmin jumps into the empty planter, and comes out as a Decor Pikmin. The type of Decor Pikmin the Huge Seedling is for is determined by where the seedling was discovered, or what event is was discovered during. The Pikmin's type (color) is random.

The other way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by leveling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in various ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin is at the maximum friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been leveled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting the gift, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. Its decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.

Additionally, the player can obtain special Decor Pikmin by other means.

The final way to get Decor Pikmin is through growing Gold Seedlings, which were added to the game on 18, during the 2022 Chess Piece Decor Pikmin Event. Gold Seedlings can be recieved from events, inviting friends, weekly challenges, and Special Spots. Gold Seedlings work similarly to Huge Seedlings, in which they instantly give you a Decor Pikmin after growing them. The only difference is that Gold Seedlings only require 100 steps to grow, rather than 10,000. The type of Decor Pikmin obtained from Gold Seedlings depends on where and how they were obtained.

In addition to regular Gold Seedlingss, there are also special colored Gold Seedlings, which can be received from the Event Premium Pass after completing four Event Challenge stages, or from Special Mission Tickets. Colored Gold Seedlings were added to the game on 4, during the 2022 Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin Event..

Decor types
There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases.

Some location types can give multiple types of decor. In these cases, the type of decor is randomly given among the options for that location, and cannot be known before the Pikmin gains its decor.
Some locations can give multiple options for what decor set you will get. In these cases, the set is randomly given among the options for that location.

The basic Decor types are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what type of decor a Pikmin will gain.

When viewing Pikmin, the icon is gray if the player does not have the corresponding Decor Pikmin of that color, while the icon will be yellow if they have already collected that Decor Pikmin. Note that this also applies to rare variants or time-limited Decor Pikmin. In an example of the latter, if a player has all Red Pikmin from the Sticker categories but does not have the Coin decor, all Roadside decor icons for Red Pikmin will appear as gray.

Roadside Decor Pikmin
Roadside Decor Pikmin
If the seedling is not found near any real-world location matching one of the above locations, the decor type will be Roadside. These Pikmin wear a sticker. Generally, this sticker can be either green, blue, or orange, with each color being worn on a different spot on the Pikmin's body. The sticker contains a letter that is based on the first letter or character of the name of the location where the seedling was found: if the seedling is listed as being 'near' a place, it uses that place's name, otherwise, it uses the name of the general area (such as the city or town it was discovered in), and if it cannot find a name for either, it will default to the letter P. (On postcards and on the static icons in the Decor Pikmin list, the letter is always P.)

These Pikmin only have 1 type per Pikmin, unlike the sticker type, and the coins present on the Pikmin are from all around the world.

Any Roadside-type Pikmin grown from a seedling that was discovered between 21 and 11 will instead have a winter-themed sticker. These stickers are bigger than the regular sticker, with each Pikmin type having a different design.
Due to the different colours, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Since 22, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.

Due to the different colors, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. However, all sticker variations are treated as the same decor type, and therefore only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Collector badges.
Weather Decor Pikmin
There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the decor type Rainy Day or Snowy Day.

Weather Decor Pikmin
Regional exclusive Decor
There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the Weather type. Currently, the only costume for this type is the Leaf Hat, of which there are 3 different designs that only Blue Pikmin can wear, and which can be obtained when the current weather is rainy.
The following Decor Pikmin are exclusive to certain regions.

Special Decor Pikmin
Fortune
Through events and other specific actions, Special Decor Pikmin wearing unique costumes can be obtained. Special decor is usually restricted to specific Pikmin types.
These Decor Pikmin can be found in the vicinity of Shinto shrine and Buddhist temple throughout Japan, and they wear fortune-telling paper slips known as O-mikuji on their heads. Fortune Decor is available for all 7 types of Pikmin, and comes in 5 different variations for each. The "omikuji" sequence in pb contains the following fortunes (ordered from best to worst):

Mario Hat
* "Daikichi" 大吉 (Great Blessing)
This Decor Pikmin wears a replica of Mario's signature red cap. A Huge Seedling for this Pikmin can be obtained when the player links their Nintendo Account to the app. When grown and plucked, the Pikmin inside will don a replica of Mario's hat, with a keyring attached to the end. The seedling comes from Kyoto, Japan, specifically from Nintendo's headquarters, and the decor type is marked as "near Nintendo". This Decor Pikmin will always be a Blue Pikmin.
* "Kichi" 吉 (Blessing)
* "Chukichi" 中吉 (Middle Blessing)
* "Shokichi" 小吉 (Small Blessing)
* "Suekichi" 末吉 (Future Blessing)

Lunar New Year Ornament
Rare Decor
From 1 to 11, for a Lunar New Year event, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 10 days. These Decor Pikmin wear red decorations with a gold 福 character, signifying "good luck" or "good fortune". There are 3 types: a Red Pikmin, a Yellow Pikmin, and a Blue Pikmin. They could only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Decor icon. Only one seedling could be held at a time, and once that Pikmin is plucked another event seedling can be discovered.

From 21 to 5, for a second Lunar New Year event, both old and new types of Decor Pikmin are obtainable for 2 weeks. Two sets of limited missions are available to clear for Golden Seedlings; Easy missions reward Decor Pikmin with Lunar New Year Ornaments from 2022, and Slightly Harder missions reward Decor Pikmin with new Lunar New Year Ornaments of gold decorations with a red 財 character, signifying "wealth" or "fortune". The Pikmin types wearing the new Decor are the same as the previous; Red Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, and Blue Pikmin. Multiple event seedlings can be held and grown at once, and the missions for both categories can be cleared at the same time.
For some Decor categories, a system called “Rare Decor Levels” is made available after collecting all Pikmin of a location category. Through specific actions relating to any Pikmin of the specific category, points are earned toward the category’s level. Each time the category levels up, a Rare Gift is made available for any Pikmin of that category to be sent out to retrieve the gift and upgrade their Decor into a Rare Decor. When a gift is rewarded, it appears on the map where the level up occurred, rather than the location the Pikmin that is sent to retrieve the gift originates from. The location the Pikmin originates from will not change after a Rare Gift is retrieved.

Chess Piece
This system is currently available for the Restaurant, Waterside, Bakery, and Hair Salon categories. For the Restaurant category, Rare Decor is only available for Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin. All Rare Decor Pikmin have more colorful costumes compared to their normal counterpart, and are treated as unique Decor Pikmin in the Decor Pikmin Badge. From 26 to 26, there was a rare chance of Red, Yellow, and Blue Chef Hat Decor Pikmin having Rare Decor when becoming a Decor Pikmin through regular methods.
On 18, for the International Chess Day event, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 2 weeks. These Decor Pikmin wear chess pieces on their head. There are 4 types: a Yellow Pikmin with a black bishop, a Blue Pikmin with a white knight, a Purple Pikmin with a black king, and a White Pikmin with a white pawn. They can only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Decor icon, or a Golden Seedlings obtained by completing a weekly challenge during the event period.
clear

Fingerboard
Rare Decor Points
On 15, for an event, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 2 weeks. These Decor Pikmin carry Fingerboard (skateboard) behind them. There are 4 types: a Red Pikmin, a Yellow Pikmin, a Purple Pikmin, and a Winged Pikmin. They can only be obtained from a Huge Seedling marked with the Special Decor icon, or a Golden Seedlings obtained by completing a weekly challenge during the event period.
Points will only count towards the location type the Pikmin/seedling is for. For example, plucking a Restaurant-type Huge Seedling will earn points toward only the Restaurant category’s Rare Decor Level. Points can be earned through the following actions:

Flower Card
* Releasing a Pikmin without their Decor earns 5 points.
On 5, for an event, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 3 weeks. These Pikmin wear hanafuda cards, referred to as Flower Cards by the game. Red Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, Blue Pikmin, and Purple Pikmin can wear these cards, and there are 6 different card designs that each of these types can wear. However, the game does not consider the different designs to be separate types, so only one type of each color is needed for the game to consider the set complete. These Pikmin can only be grown from Golden Seedlings, obtained either from completing weekly challenges or completing limited missions during the event.
* Releasing a Pikmin with their Decor earns 20 points.
** Pikmin’s friendship level has no effect on how many points are earned.
* Plucking a seedling earns 30 points.
* Plucking a Huge Seedling earns 200 points.
* A Pikmin retrieving their gift expedition earns 200 points.

The following table shows the 24 card designs used in the game:

On 14, for the Halloween event, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 3 weeks. These Decor Pikmin wear jack-o'-lantern pumpkins on their heads. There are 7 types for all Pikmin, but the methods to obtain them differs. The White Pikmin, Purple Pikmin, Rock Pikmin, and Winged Pikmin Decor are obtained from Golden Seedlings that come from completing the weekly challenges between 17 and 6, or completing flower-based limited missions connected to the event. The Red Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, and Blue Pikmin Decor are obtained from the Golden Seedlings gifted from clearing the mushroom-based limited missions connected to the event, or clearing a weekly challenge between 24 and 6.

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. To aid in getting decor types you don't already have, go to a Pikmin's information page (or a seedling's information page) to look for the icon in the red circle. This icon represents the decor type; the icon associated with each set can be seen in the table above. Focus on increasing the friendship of Pikmin from decor sets you don't already have, as when they reach 4 hearts of friendship, they will turn into a Decor Pikmin after collecting a gift. To note is that Roadside attribute Decor Pikmin are by far the most common, so if a Pikmin has a icon, it may be worth ignoring it. Pressing the star in the corner of a Pikmin's page favorites that Pikmin, and this is a useful way to indicate Pikmin you want to prioritize. To see which types of Decor Pikmin you already have, tap a Decor Pikmin-related badge on your profile page and scroll down to see a list of all Decor Pikmin types.

The detector can be a useful way to get Decor types you don't have many of. It displays icons that can tell you what types of Decor Pikmin can be found nearby. Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor sets displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.

First Anniversary Snack
When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.
On 1, for the first anniversary, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 2 weeks. These Decor Pikmin wear snacks, with new snack sleeves picturing the 1st anniversary symbol. There are 7 types for all Pikmin, and are obtained from Golden Seedlings obtained by completing limited missions during this event.

Koppaite Space Suit
Telling Decor Pikmin of the same type apart
From 28 to 9, there was an event themed around p3d, where 3 types of Decor Pikmin could be obtained by completing flower planting missions. Planting 5,000 flowers would give a Gold Seedling that would grow into a Blue Pikmin wearing Alph's costume. After that, planting 10,000 flowers would give a Gold Seedling that would grow into a Red Pikmin wearing Brittany's costume. After that, planting 20,000 flowers would give a Gold Seedling that would grow into a Yellow Pikmin wearing Captain Charlie's costume.

Mitten
Some Decor Pikmin categories have multiple different decors available, such as Station, which has both Paper Train and Ticket decors. Because of this, it can be difficult to determine which specific decor a Pikmin or Seedling has. However, there is a way to determine this under certain conditions.
From 12 to 31, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for an event. These Decor Pikmin wear small mitten on their heads. There are 3 types: a Red Pikmin, a Yellow Pikmin, and a Blue Pikmin. They can only be obtained from Golden Seedlings, obtained either by completing weekly challenges or completing limited missions during the event.

2023 Glasses
When sorting Pikmin or Seedlings by Decor Category descending (arrow points down), the sort order is determined by:
From 26 to 15, for the 2023 New Year event, a new type of Decor Pikmin was obtainable for 3 weeks. These Decor Pikmin wear appropriately sized New Year's glasses on their heads. There are 7 types for all Pikmin, and could be obtained in two different ways. The first is from Huge Seedlings marked with the Special Decor icon, where only one Huge Seedling can be held at a time. The second is from Golden Seedlings unlocked by completing a premium mission. Each mission becomes available by purchasing a set of 2023 Glasses from the Shop for Miis to wear, and the Pikmin plucked from the Golden Seedling will always correspond to the Pikmin that wears glasses that match.
*Decor type, in order displayed on the Decor Pikmin screen.
These missions were available to purchase until 15, and will expire by 30.
*Pikmin type, in the order Red - Yellow - Blue - Purple - White - Pink - Gray - Huge, as displayed on the Pikmin screen.
*Date Discovered (for seedlings) or Plucked (for Pikmin), from newest to oldest.

Present Sticker
From 6 to 26, for the Valentine's Day event, new Decor Pikmin are obtainable for 3 weeks. These Decor Pikmin wear ribbons with different patterns and stickers that say "Happy Valentine's Day 2023". There are 7 types for all Pikmin, and can be obtained in two different ways. Red Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, and Blue Pikmin are obtained from Golden Seedlings, earned from participating in weekly challenges during the event period.White Pikmin, Purple Pikmin, Rock Pikmin, and Winged Pikmin are obtained from Golden Seedlings that are earned after completing limited missions. Completing 20 missions will guarantee all 4 types of "Present Sticker" Decor Pikmin mentioned above.

Rare variants
Using this knowledge, the specific decor that a Pikmin will have can be determined ahead of time (before you get them to 4 hearts after plucking, or before planting them as seedlings) if you have enough Pikmin or Seedlings of the same decor category (or a select set of them, see below). This is known as the Decor Sorting Trick.
For some Decor types, there is a low chance of the costume being a rare "shiny" variant of the regular costume. These costumes are more colorful, and Pikmin with them have sparkles around them in the Pikmin information page. These rare variants are not treated as separate costumes, similar to the different sticker colors of Roadside Decor Pikmin. Currently, there are only rare variants for Restaurant-Type Red Pikmin, Yellow Pikmin, and Blue Pikmin.

Strategy
Pikmin and Seedlings always* sort in the order Red - Yellow - Blue - Purple - White - Pink - Gray - Huge. When this ordering is not followed, it means there was a change in decor type at the point where the sort ordering was broken. For example, if you see a red restaurant Decor Pikmin sorted after a gray restaurant Decor Pikmin, you know for a fact that the Red Pikmin will have a rare restaurant decor. A pair of Pikmin within the same decor category (ie. that have the same decor icon) for which the type ordering is opposite of the normal sort ordering is called a <b>Missorted Pair</b>.
guide

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible. Missorted pairs can be saved and used to determine the decor of any new Seedlings before growing them, or Pikmin before raising their friendship. This can be very useful when steps or nectar are limited resources.

Here are some examples:
*Saving a White, Purple, Pink, or Gray restaurant Pikmin and/or Seedling (or a Huge Seedling) as a "marker". Any Red, Yellow, or Blue Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after this saved Pikmin/Seedling can be determined to be a rare before any investment is made in it.
**Restaurant Decor is unique in that the second decor set only has Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin in it, so it only requires a single marker which can be any Pikmin/Seedling other than Red, Yellow, or Blue.
*For categories with 2 full decor types (where every Pikmin type has both decors), a missorted pair can be saved consisting of 1 Non-Red Pikmin from the first category and 1 Pikmin of a type that normally sorts before the first type from the second category.
**For example, if you save a White Pikmin/Seedling from the first category and a Blue Pikmin/Seedling from the second, then:
***Any Red, Yellow, Blue, or Purple Pikmin/Seedling that sorts before the saved White Pikmin/Seedling will be in the first category
***Any White, Pink, and Gray Pikmin/Seedling that sorts before the saved Blue Pikmin/Seedling will be in the first category
***Any Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after the saved White Pikmin/Seedling will be in the second category
***Any Purple, White, Pink, and Gray Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after the saved Blue Pikmin/Seedling will be in the second category

The detector can be a useful way to get Decor types you don't have many of. It displays icons that can tell you what types of Decor Pikmin can be found nearby. Using it has a chance of uncovering seedlings of the decor types displayed, so if you're missing certain types, tactical use of the detector can be handy.
Roadside Decor Pikmin are more complicated, as there are 4 available decor types within the category instead of just 2, but the same idea still works. By saving a missorted pair between each of the roadside decor categories, each new Seedling’s decor type can be uniquely determined. This can be done with as few as 4 Pikmin (e.g. a Gray from the first category, a Purple from the second, a Blue from the third, and a Red from the fourth), but saving multiple separate pairs (e.g. a Red and a Huge from every category) makes it easier to determine the decor of a new seedling at a glance.

When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are very rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.
This same sorting trick can be used with Pikmin plucked date instead of Pikmin type (ie. for battery or rain Decor Pikmin, which are all 1 Pikmin type), but it's much more involved. The plucked date used here is not the same property used for sorting by "Date" (which is Seedling discovery date), so it must be determined separately (ie. by nicknaming your Pikmin as they're plucked).

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom that wear a costume.

Obtaining Decor PikminEdit

A Huge Seedling.

A gift box.

Another way to obtain Decor Pikmin is by leveling up an individual Pikmin's friendship level. This can be done in a variety ways, such as by sending Pikmin on expeditions or feeding them nectar. Once the Pikmin is at the maximum friendship level of 4 hearts, a new expedition will appear for a gift box. Only the Pikmin that has been levelled up can go on this expedition, and the expedition's destination is the place where the Pikmin's seedling was discovered. After collecting the gift, an animation will play that shows the Pikmin jumping into the box and emerging as a Decor Pikmin. The Pikmin's decor type is determined by where its seedling was found.

A Gold Seedling.

The final way to get Decor Pikmin is through growing Gold Seedlings, which were added to the game on July 18th, 2022, during the 2022 Chess Piece Decor Pikmin Event.

Colored Gold Seedlings were added to the game on September 4th, 2023, during the 2022 Mahjong Tile Decor Pikmin Event..

Decor typesEdit

There are various types of decor that Pikmin can wear, each corresponding with some kind of real-world location. The decor a Pikmin wears depends on where its seedling was found. Pikmin Bloom gets its location data from OpenStreetMap and Foursquare (and likely other sources), and can thus only detect location types that are included in those databases.

Some locations can give multiple options for what decor set you will get. In these cases, the set is randomly given among the options for that location.

The basic decor sets are listed here in the order they are listed in-game. The icons appear when viewing information about a Pikmin or seedling, and can be used to work out what kind of decor a Pikmin will gain.

Roadside Decor PikminEdit

If the seedling is not found near any real-world location matching one of the above locations, the decor type will be   Roadside. These Pikmin wear a sticker or a coin. The sticker can be either green, blue, or orange, with each colour being worn on a different spot on the Pikmin's body. (On postcards and on the static icons in the Decor Pikmin list, the letter is always P). As of v66.0 Coin Decor Pikmin were added. These Pikmin only have 1 type per Pikmin, unlike the sticker type, and the coins present on the Pikmin are from all around the world.

Due to the different colours, as well as the large number of possible characters on the sticker, Roadside Decor Pikmin have much more variety than other types of Decor Pikmin. Since May 22nd, 2023, the color variations of stickers have been treated as different decor types. Previously, each would only count as one type per Pikmin type in the Decor Pikmin list and towards the Decor Pikmin badges.

Weather Decor PikminEdit

There are some types of Decor Pikmin that are not dependent on the location, but are instead dependent on the current weather where the player is. (It is not known which source Pikmin Bloom uses for weather data.) These Pikmin have the decor type   Rainy Day or   Snowy Day.

Regional exclusive DecorEdit

The following Decor Pikmin are exclusive to certain regions.

FortuneEdit

These Decor Pikmin can be found in the vicinity of Shrines and Temples throughout Japan, and they wear fortune-telling paper slips known as "omikuji" on their heads. Fortune Decor is available for all 7 types of Pikmin, and comes in 5 different variations for each. The "omikuji" sequence in Pikmin Bloom contains the following fortunes (ordered from best to worst):

  • "Daikichi" 大吉 (Great Blessing)
  • "Kichi" 吉 (Blessing)
  • "Chukichi" 中吉 (Middle Blessing)
  • "Shokichi" 小吉 (Small Blessing)
  • "Suekichi" 末吉 (Future Blessing)

Rare DecorEdit

A Rare Gift.

From April 26th, 2022 to September 26th, 2024, there was a rare chance of Red, Yellow, and Blue Chef Hat Decor Pikmin having Rare Decor when becoming a Decor Pikmin through regular methods.

Rare Decor PointsEdit

Points will only count towards the location type the Pikmin/seedling is for. For example, plucking a Restaurant-type Huge Seedling will earn points toward only the Restaurant category’s Rare Decor Level. Points can be earned through the following actions:

  • Releasing a Pikmin without their Decor earns 5 points.
  • Releasing a Pikmin with their Decor earns 20 points.
    • Pikmin’s friendship level has no effect on how many points are earned.
  • Plucking a seedling earns 30 points.
  • Plucking a Huge Seedling earns 200 points.
  • A Pikmin retrieving their gift expedition earns 200 points.
Level Requirement
1 Decor category completion
2 800 points
3 1,200 points
4 3,000 points
5+ Every 5,000 points

Special Decor PikminEdit

Through events and other specific actions,   Special Decor Pikmin wearing unique costumes can be obtained.

Main article: Special Decor Pikmin.

StrategyEdit

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Decor Pikmin are Pikmin Bloom's main collectable item, so there is an incentive to collect as many types as possible.

When growing a Huge Seedling, it can be useful to grow it in a single-use slot, as they take a lot of steps to grow compared to other types of seedlings. Huge Seedlings are rare, so don't be afraid to use single-use slots to grow them.

Telling Decor Pikmin of the same type apartEdit

Roadside decor Pikmin with lines drawn between each different decor.

Some Decor Pikmin categories have multiple different decors available, such as Station, which has both Paper Train and Ticket decors. Because of this, it can be difficult to determine which specific decor a Pikmin or Seedling has. However, there is a way to determine this under certain conditions.

When sorting Pikmin or Seedlings by Decor Category descending (arrow points down), the sort order is determined by:

  • Decor type, in order displayed on the Decor Pikmin screen.
  • Pikmin type, in the order Red - Yellow - Blue - Purple - White - Pink - Gray - Huge, as displayed on the Pikmin screen.
  • Date Discovered (for seedlings) or Plucked (for Pikmin), from newest to oldest.

A missorted pair of Station decor Pikmin.

A pair of Pikmin within the same decor category (ie. that have the same decor icon) for which the type ordering is opposite of the normal sort ordering is called a Missorted Pair.

Missorted pairs can be saved and used to determine the decor of any new Seedlings before growing them, or Pikmin before raising their friendship. This can be very useful when steps or nectar are limited resources.

Here are some examples:

  • Saving a White, Purple, Pink, or Gray restaurant Pikmin and/or Seedling (or a Huge Seedling) as a "marker". Any Red, Yellow, or Blue Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after this saved Pikmin/Seedling can be determined to be a rare before any investment is made in it.
    • Restaurant Decor is unique in that the second decor set only has Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin in it, so it only requires a single marker which can be any Pikmin/Seedling other than Red, Yellow, or Blue.
  • For categories with 2 full decor types (where every Pikmin type has both decors), a missorted pair can be saved consisting of 1 Non-Red Pikmin from the first category and 1 Pikmin of a type that normally sorts before the first type from the second category.
    • For example, if you save a White Pikmin/Seedling from the first category and a Blue Pikmin/Seedling from the second, then:
      • Any Red, Yellow, Blue, or Purple Pikmin/Seedling that sorts before the saved White Pikmin/Seedling will be in the first category
      • Any White, Pink, and Gray Pikmin/Seedling that sorts before the saved Blue Pikmin/Seedling will be in the first category
      • Any Red, Yellow, and Blue Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after the saved White Pikmin/Seedling will be in the second category
      • Any Purple, White, Pink, and Gray Pikmin/Seedling that sorts after the saved Blue Pikmin/Seedling will be in the second category
