The Puffy Blubbug (フグムシ?, lit.: "Pufferfish Bug") is a rare enemy in Hey! Pikmin. It is a blue round bug-like creature, with various darker spots and a coat of fur. It has a very small head in proportion to the rest of its body, with two equally small antennae. It is about three times the size of Captain Olimar. Unlike the much larger Blubbug, it has no legs, and instead sports two wings attached to its head. It will bounce forward, and may bump into the player or their Pikmin. Its only location is Over Wintry Mountains.

Behavior[edit]

The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Hey! Pikmin.
Particularly: Describe its behavior when it sees Pikmin, when it attacks, when it shakes, when it loses interest, etc.

Puffy Blubbugs will fly onto the screen trying to push the player into something undesirable.

Locations[edit]

Strategy[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Throwing a lone Winged Pikmin is all that is needed to essentially defeat this creature.

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

The snow makes this creature's habitat so cold that its normal layer of fat wasn't enough. Hence the need for its coat of fine hair. It's too big for me to get my arms around, but it looks so warm that I wish there was some way to hug it.
