The mitite family is a family that first appeared in Pikmin 2, but went unidentified in English until Pikmin 4. It currently consists of a single, small pinkish insect-like creature with a white shell and six legs, the Mitite. The only known genus in this family is Mitivius, to which Mitite belongs.

The Mitite is a harmless enemy featured in Pikmin 2 and Pikmin 4. In both games, they have a chance to spawn in either eggs or underground. Once active, the Mitite will cause all Pikmin, with the exception of Purple Pikmin to panic. Exclusive to Pikmin 4, Oatchi will also panic at the sight of Mitites.
