This page lists all differences between caves in all versions of Pikmin 2, spanning all regions and consoles. The first columns indicate where the change is, and the remaining columns explain what aspects get changed, and how.

Some notes:

  • These changes pertain only to the cave text files. So there will be times where two sublevels have the same text data, but end up with different treasures depending on the version you are playing. This table will not include such changes.
  • In the difference cells, the text is stripped to what matters only.
  • Wii JP changed the vegetation in Frontier Cavern 1, but the new object written there is indented poorly. This got fixed in Wii US. This indentation issue probably has no gameplay impact.
  • Wii US and Wii EU have exactly the same cave files.
  • The cell colors only exist to highlight which versions are different and which ones are the same. They have no other meaning.
