The figwort family is a family of plants in Pikmin and Pikmin 2. Only one member exists, the eponymous Figwort. The family is based on the real-life family scrophulariaceae, which is also the same family of the real world Chaenostoma cordatum.

Figworts are plants in the first two Pikmin games. In Pikmin, these plants can unleash a swarm of unknown bugs when brushed against, and in Pikmin 2, four variants exist, with combinations of two different sizes and whether the plant is healthy or dying.
