In ''Pikmin 2'', when Pikmin that are in the inactive leader's squad begin to run around due to certain [[hazard]]s (fire, water, poison, or panic), if the active leader were to whistle the inactive leader, all the Pikmin in the inactive leader's squad (including those affected by the hazard) will join the active leader's squad. The Pikmin affected by the hazard will be rescued. This does not apply to drowning Pikmin that are saved.
