Template:Game help
The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays (bad game parameter). |
Info
This template is to be used whenever an article or section is lacking in information regarding a specific game or region/version. For instance, suppose an European editor creates an article for a gameplay mechanic for Pikmin that is known to be different in the US version of New Play Control! Pikmin. Because this editor does not own the later game, they can leave this template with the parameter "npcpu" to alert users who own that game about the missing information.
Pages with this also get categorized on the corresponding category.
Parameters
Parameter | Mandatory | Default | Purpose | Detailed description |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Yes | (game parameter missing) | Game ID | Read below. |
2 | No | Notes | Detailed information on what data is needed from that game. |
The first parameter is the game ID. This comes in the format of the game's acronym followed by the region's letter, if any, without spaces in-between. The game acronyms are:
- p: Pikmin.
- p2: Pikmin 2.
- p3: Pikmin 3.
- p4: Pikmin 4.
- npcp: New Play Control! Pikmin
- p1s: Pikmin 1 (Nintendo Switch)
- npcp2: New Play Control! Pikmin 2
- p2s: Pikmin 2 (Nintendo Switch)
- p3d: Pikmin 3 Deluxe.
- hp: Hey! Pikmin.
- pb: Pikmin Bloom.
- pa: Pikmin Adventure.
The region letters are:
- j: Japan.
- u: US.
- e: Europe.
So, for instance, for the Japanese version of Pikmin 3, this would be "p3j". The region is optional, so if, for example, you write an article on a common gameplay mechanic that is different in Pikmin 3, and you do not own that game, you can just use "p3", to refer to any version of the third game in the franchise.
