Maybe, but perhaps add a little more to the header; something like: "Welcome to Pikipedia, a Wiki with information regarding Pikmin. The administration is enthralled to see you have registered, and have provided some helpful links to get you familiarize you to rules, regulations, and other such facilities."

There might be a monitoring system of new members set up for sysop-es or bureaucrats, (I've never been one, I wouldn't know for certain), but that might be helpful if there is such a thing set up. -Me_just_in
