What is the plural of "Bulblax"?[edit]
Is it just "Bulblax" or is it "Bulblaxes"? Well, the voyage log entry for kingdom of beasts says something like “Many types of Bulblax have settled in this cave. Perhaps their empire... To them, I'm just a foreign invader that must be eradicated. If the danger becomes unavoidable, I’ll need to rely on some of the items I brought with me.”, but 1st story: bulblaxes says “First, a preliminary trial. See if you can defeat all the Bulborbs, Bulblaxes, and Bulbears.”. So which one is it? Is it like Soccer and football, where it depends on who says it? Mama09001 (talk) 11:43, October 6, 2024 (EDT)
- It's "Bulblaxes", because the first example is not a plural. In the first example, "types" is the plural word and Bulblax is referring to the group of species. In the second example, there are multiple Bulblaxes, so the word is plural. If you replace "Bulblax" with "creature", it still works: "Many types of creature have settled in this cave" and "See if you can defeat all the creatures". — Soprano(talk) 16:54, October 6, 2024 (EDT)
