'''''Pikmin 2''''' is a port of the original {{p2}} to the [[Nintendo Switch]]. It was revealed during a Nintendo Direct presentation on {{date|21|June|2023}}, alongside [[Pikmin 1 (Nintendo Switch)|a port of ''Pikmin'']]. Both were released on the eShop immediately after the presentation concluded. It is based off of {{npcp2}}.

A bundle of this game and the ''Pikmin'' Switch port was also released as ''[[Pikmin 1 + 2]]''. This bundle will recieve a physical release in North America, Europe, and Japan on {{date|22|September|2023}}.

===Gameplay===
* The game now sports an updated control scheme similar to [[Pikmin 3 Deluxe]].
** {{button|switch|rstick}} is now used to freely control the camera.
** In order to [[Swarm]], the player must hold down {{button|switch|l}} while tilting {{button|switch|rstick}}.
** {{button|switch|lstickclick}} now resets the cursor.
** Pressing {{button|switch|-}} shows a screen displaying the game’s controls.
** Motion Controls can be enabled from the Controls screen.
*** If enabled, tilting the controller while holding {{button|switch|a}} or {{button|switch|b}} will move the cursor. 
**Pressing the button repeatedly for continued plucking is no longer required, simply holding {{button|switch|a}} while plucking will have leaders continue until no more sprouts are left.
* Cutscenes (excluding the end of day scene and the cinematics) can no longer be skipped.
* The camera cannot be rotated in the [[Piklopedia (Pikmin 2)|Piklopedia]] and the [[Treasure Hoard]]

* The gameplay and UI are now rendered at a higher resolution.

* Much of the [[Treasure#Brands|product placement]] in the original game has been removed and replaced with fictional/other brands, likely because Nintendo lost the copyrights to those treasures.
