Objects that can't be seen can be [[Lock-on|Target Lock]]ed, and the game won't stop the [[throw]]ing action, even if the max amount of carriers are digging. There's no limit on how many Pikmin can dig, and every Pikmin that is digging will grab onto the object, up to the maximum amount of carries. Yellow Pikmin have been given a 4x digging speed boost whereas the other Pikmin types have a 1x dig speed.
