The '''Dandelion''', although an all-too-common weedy plant in the real world, is somewhat rare in the [[Pikmin series|''Pikmin'' games]], appearing in only two overworld locations, one cave, and seven challenge mode levels. Dandelions are used merely for scenery and do not affect gameplay. [[Seeding Dandelion]]s can also be found in ''[[Pikmin 2]]'', but are just as non-functional and are even more rare. The Dandelion is among the few organisms in the ''Pikmin'' series named after its real world {{w|Taraxacum|counterpart}}.

In {{p3}}, Dandelions evolve from each passsing day going from bud, flower and finally a [[Seeding Dandelion]].
