| Battle in a Box is set in a square-shaped arena, with various low walls dividing it into several sections. The two bases are in opposite corners, surrounded by pellets and basic enemies. In the other two corners there are tougher enemies, nuggets, buried treasures, and more pellets. These corners have open access from one base and are blocked from the other base by a dirt wall, which can be destroyed to allow quicker access to the objects there. The center of the arena is lower than the rest, with ramps leading down to it from all four corners, and has tougher enemies and more nuggets.
