The S.S. Beagle begins in the centre of a metallic underground stage, with many conveyor belts travelling in inconvenient directions. To clear the path for the Pikmin, a fire stater must be used to burn away some [[dried plants]] blocking passages, [[Candypop Buds]], treasure, and the buttons which switch the conveyor belts.

The S.S. Beagle lands in the centre of a collection of rooms, in the north half of a larger space. Immediately next to it is a pink [[Candypop Bud]], as well as three paths, two of which are [[conveyor belt]]s- the one in the north pointed away from the Beagle, and the one in the west pointed towards it. A regular path extends to the east, and on the far south side, another conveyor belt points away.

Four dead-ends extend from the south of this room, containing a [[Mega Horn]], 50 [[gold nugget]]s, a pink Candypop Bud, and the stage's pre-lit [[bonfire altar]].
