You're a freaking genius! That looks amazing. I don't see a problem with that skin, to be honest. I think the fountain is unimportant, but if you find someway to implement it, that's be great.
(P.S. I was in Vegas from the 26th to the 29th so sorry for the late response).
Poison Density
I noticed your theory on Whites being more dense. Would it be possible that the poison is a very dence cloud of gas that not only poisons on inhalling and consumption, but also blocks the airways and fills the lungs of a creature?
Ridly Roar! 15:50, August 14, 2010 (UTC)
- That explain why Pikmin are affected quickly, and can be saved after inhalling the poison. Ridly Roar! 01:08, August 16, 2010 (UTC).
- It is possible that poison is denser than air, which would explain it's habit to stay close to the ground. However, it probably wouldn't block the airways and lungs of the Pikmin. I think that the White Pikmin have the organs necessary to filter out the poison. As for the quick reaction, plenty of poisons in the world have extremely quick kill times. One breath of Ammonia+Bleach, for example, will cause wooziness. Two can knock you out. Four is death.Pikdude 07:36, 27 September 2010 (EDT)

Volatile Dweevil's Inter-wiki Rally
Note:Credit to this "speech" goes to the user Rocket Racer
"Rebellion is nigh..." This sounds like the opening to a story or film, but this is what is happening at wikia right now. Even as we speak, wikia is developing a new mandatory skin style for ALL WIKIS. There are few ways to thwart them, but thwart them we must. I request your aid in my dangerous quest by asking you to post a message on the Media Wiki Site Message page in red, bold letters advising all users that we are in a code red situation and we must message wikia Every time we log on with the contact button on the bottom of normal articles telling them which wikis we want to keep Monaco on. We could also make petitions, but persistent messaging will most certainly work, this method has worked several times for persistent parents around the globe who want to get their high schoolers into a certain class, and I believe it will work now. If just one user does this, than wikia can block them, but if whole wikis do this, they will have a flooded server of unhappy emails and will be forced to eventually comply. If they shut off the messaging system than we will post on the staff members' talk pages, which will become equally crowded and they will be forced to comply. Trust me on this one, it will work. In the meantime, create a backup Monaco.css just in case they delete it.
- Saw Wikia's announcement already. I hate Monaco and have nothing against this change. As long as it reduces the ridiculous amount of JavaScript and other bloat on pages, I'm happy.
- Other changes Wikia's made and will continue to make, though, I'm not so happy about. But of course, you need to realise Wikia is for-profit: they believe the changes they make will attract more users (new features, supposedly better for search engines (which is silly considering Wikipedia's skin and search engine rankings)), so they'll make more money from adverts. They're not going to listen to the vocal, long-term users who are, in all honesty, in the minority. Many changes make things easier for first-time editors; most of those that don't edit at all will love the new style, I'm sure.
- So, you see, they're not going to listen to this. Besides, it's not the way to go about it: is there really nothing about the change you like? Instead, why not encourage everyone to work out what they really want from a skin, and submit that constructive criticism rather than the unintelligent approach you pasted here?
- Anyway, it's clear enough the best solution, considering how long it's been going downhill here, is to move wikis away, make them independent. It works: look at NIWA: the more established wikis there top the Wikia alternatives in search engines, and the newer ones aren't far behind.
- Stuff to think about.
- And a note: even if they implemented the skin and disabled all others, they would never delete any pages on the wiki (monaco.css), they just wouldn't do anything. For one thing, they have no need to.GP
Hmm
Green, where can I request rollback rights? I am fairly active on this wiki, and a lot more active than other sysops, but I wanna start small and work my way up. --FREAK ~Game Freak~OUT!
- You just ask like this. You're certainly responsible and active enough and have been here a long time, so sure. Note, however, that rollback is primarily for reverting vandalism: undoing a well-intentioned edit should have an edit summary, which rollback doesn't include.GP
Hi
Oh, by the way, Pikmin Fanon is moving to pikminwiki.com. If users of Pikipedia want to move with Pikmin Fanon, we could split it into sub-domains or integrate the wikis, though I'm guessing if other users of Pikipedia want to move, they'll want separate sub-domains. Please give me your opinion on this green. Vol (Talk)

Inter-Wiki Forums
Hey Green, I think we should start to think about the proposed Inter-wiki Forum. We have a bunch of options here, but I think it would be best if we use ProBoards as it is free and really simple to do. However I want to see what you think before I do anything about that.Sir Pikmin
- I think something hosted here would be better: we'd be more free to have it as we want, it would me more easy to customise ourselves with better wiki integration if we need it, and the whole point of this was the independence; plus, it doesn't seem to be open source. I think phpBB is a good option. GP
- True, but we also have to show that we can stand on our own two feet and be able to do things independently. I think that the forums could help a bit with that, also Porple is already paying to host a bunch of wikis and the like so this helps him out a bit. Yeah, phpBB should work out fine. I'll start it up in a bit, but it may take a while to get to a presentable look.--Sir Pikmin
- He wouldn't have to pay any more to host more at the same domain (at least, it's very unlikely). Having the forum for the wikis elsewhere is illogical - and phpBB is software, not a forum farm. I don't see how this has a great deal to do with independence: it's setting it up some company's server and domain, with their rules and restrictions, or using what we already have. GP
- Yeah, we could host the forum. I'm a fan of SMF myself. If you want to be the one to get it going, let me know and I'll give you the info you need. --Porplemontage 19:37, 17 September 2010 (EDT)

Chatroom Admin
Hey can I be an chatroom admin or whatever they're called? I've been a loyal user here since the dark age of Pikipedia, have well over 500 edits, and have much more experience than I did before. If that's not enough, I'll continue my work here (which is to correct edits made by n00bs and defend my fellow gamers) albeit with spotty activity.--Pikdude 21:49, 20 September 2010 (EDT)
- I've never seen you in the chatroom (maybe it's just timezones). Have you got a registered nickname? GP
- I do now, and I'm not on that often because of school, soccer, and the fact that both I and my friends LOVE to play Halo Reach. Other than that, I'm on fairly often.Pikdude 07:26, 27 September 2010 (EDT)
User and user talk pages
I was looking at some of the talk pages of this wiki and saw several invalid user and user talk page links and sig templates for inactive users. I thought it was kind of sad how their personalized sigs and user/user talk pages that tell about them will be lost. I think you should have the bot upload user related pages still, and active users can still change their sig to whatever they want. This wouldn't be too hard, would it?
- I just thought a lot of users wouldn't be active any more. In particular, many userpages of long-inactive users embed images that we have no other use for. I could do it if people want it done, though, yeah. Were you thinking every page, or just active users, or just pages that are linked to somewhere? Also, are you going to reply to the stuff I asked on your talk a while back? GP
Yeah, I'm all for the bot, I can't make you admin you there though, Sir Pikmin and Peanut are the only 'crats. And I was just thinking user pages that are linked to for inactive users, if you could exclude active users. Also, the list above does help a lot, thanks.

NIWA Icon Thing
How about this for our NIWA icon thing?-File:Leaficon.png Vol (Talk)
- I replaced it with the actual size it was created at - 16x16 - because this looks better than downsizing a 32x32 stretched version. I think it's an option, as is the current logo made smaller, but I'd like to see what comes out of the logo competition I intend to start up, and if we get anything good, see if that'll look good smaller. I guess if you feel we need a temporary image to distribute, it's fine. GP
Adminship
I would like to apply to become an admin. I am more than qualified with my status on Pikminfanon, and I am an experienced 2-year editor. I have had my share in learning correct grammar, creativity and meeting the standards that Wikipedia has. -Peanut64 (Talk)
- You're a good user on Pikmin Fanon and stuff, Peanut, but before the move, your last edit was in May, and that was to redirect one of your sig pages. You really haven't been active here since 2009, when you became busy with your recent 'crat promotion. I know you'd be a good admin, you just need to get a little more active here and after and once you show your here to stay you'll probably be promoted. I really don't see any reason for a new admin right now, though, and since Pikipedia is not growing as rapidly as Pikcanon-NOT, there's very little that sysop powers will do for you. I don't know, maybe Greenpickle will be fine with it, 'cause like I said, you'd make a great admin.
- I was going to suggest we need a new admin, and I'd still like to open it up for everyone to decide, like last time. We do need another, because Prez and CL are inactive (I talked to Prez and he didn't seem likely to return a lot), and if we're considering vandalism, I'm in a different timezone to most vandals, leaving it up to Snakeboss to ban them to reduce the work of people reverting the edits. I'll start this up later today. GP

Thank you for the welcome and the useful links! I'm still new to wiki-ing so it might be awhile before I do anything (If that doesn't count that little edit where I added a link to a page.. -cough-)

NIWA
Have you guys decided what you want to be said for this wiki, on this pagehere? Axiomist 13:42, 6 October 2010 (EDT)
- I had no idea we were supposed to be doing so. I'll talk with people and get back to you. GP
- Much appreciated. I just left a message to the fanonPikmin wiki guys with the same request, There will be an entry for each wiki on that page. But if you guys can either email me Axiomist @ msn . com, pm me on the NIWA forum, or use my talk page at WiKirby, that would be so convenient for me. Main Page
Hey! You seem to be the only bureaucrat and I cannot find a suggestions page so I'll say it here. I was wondering, if you look at the Main Page, it is good. But I created a new main page which I think would work better as the main page at User:Pikminguy1/Test. I think this new main page is a good idea, it contains more information and does not expand the length of the page from what it used to be. It contains all of the knowledge from the former main page (I removed the <choose> tags however, they were a good idea but they didn't work well...in my opinion, if you want a main page with the choose tags, see User:Pikminguy1/Test2). Anyways, the key point of my suggested main page is that it contains a new box, "Recent news!". I was originally gonna suggest you add a box without an example but I decided that it is more explanatory to show people that changes that I am talking about, so, this and this - do you like either of them? Would you consider making them the current design of the main page? Hope this isn't too long, yours truly, Pikminguy1 (My Talk Page).
- Hmm, yeah, the option stuff is more a remnant from when we had 3+ things to choose from, so the left column would be a lot longer; and the featured image wasn't in the right column, so it was shorter. I've removed it. About a news box, I do understand that most other wikis have them, and we used to, but we just never had any news for long periods of time - now just seems to be quite a busy time, what with the move. The site notice can cope with everything that does happen sufficiently. Of course, it's not up to me to decide, and if you still think we should have one, start a topic. GP
Logo
Since this seems to be a pressing issue now, I threw together an example of what I was talking about with the text over the flower. [2] My text abilities are really limited in Gimp, so I only had a few fonts and couldn't do the outline thing you had, but that's the basic idea. I liked your idea of using white text with an outline the same color as the flower. —Jimbo Jambo 14:23, 10 October 2010 (EDT)

Wikia is pissed
GP, take a look at your talk page on the old wiki: http://pikmin.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:Greenpickle Essentially, they've written the following:
- Hello,
- We have noticed the sitenotice and anonnotice are directing people away from using this wiki and make it appear as if this wiki will be closing. We need the community to be aware that they are welcome to stay, and that the wiki will remain open. Community members are welcome to edit here, there or on both. Please change your message to reflect this. Thank you, Sarah@Wikia (Help Forum) (blog) 20:38, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, I'm not sure if you are going to be back to do this, so I'll make the change. Thanks -- Sannse@Wikia (help forum | blog) 23:58, October 11, 2010 (UTC)
They don't want people to leave, but they don't want to change the themes neither! Ah! Do you plan on doing something about the removal of the warning? Do you know already if the wikis at Wikia can be deleted? {EspyoT} 15:02, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
- I've seen it. I'll come up with some wording that satisfies them. No, I don't think they can be deleted. GP
Did you here what happened on wikia? Major CSS problem.
"Monaco is currently experiencing some issues in which CSS is being stripped, which causes the pages to look broken. We're working on resolving this issue ASAP and Monaco will not remain looking like this - don't worry."
- Heh, even more CSS errors on wikia.
- "There are some issues at the moment with CSS caching, the tech guys are working on it and it should be fixed soon... sorry about this all."Vol (Talk)
- Fun. Well, apparently by 'Please change your message to reflect this.', they meant 'remove all mention of a competing wiki altogether', so I didn't get to re-word it. Not surprising, I guess... Edit: oh, just noticed Espyo had the bit at 8:58 in what he quoted, but I saw it between those two and didn't catch it until now. GP
Consistency
Alright Green,I have a proposal. I say we model all of the enemie "How to Kill" Sections like this:
How to Kill
This section is entitled, "How to Kill", not Killing Strategies or Strategy.
Pikmin
This section will be on every page. Even if you cant kill the enemy, like Flint Beetles, a way to damage or attack the ememy must be listed.
Captains
This section will show up even if you can't kill and enemy with the Captains.
Either way, if we decide not to use this model, the Enemy pages nned to be more consistent. Ridly Screech! 07:03, 15 October 2010 (EDT)
