Decorated Cannon Beetles have an appearance identical to Armored Cannon Beetle Larvae, except they are red instead of green. They, too, spit out stones; but these home in on your pikmin.
If your captain is going alone, the smart way to defeat it is to stand under its belly once it has spit a stone. The stone will head for you, but hit itself. Viola!
