Ultra-bitter sprays are made from Purple Berries
Berries grow on Burgeoning Spiderwort plants. These berries can be obtained by having Pikmin knock the berries off the plant, which the Pikmin will do if directed to climb the plant.
Berries are the main food of Ravenous Whiskerpillars. They will eat either berry type, and aren't affected by a berry's spiciness or bitterness when eating them.
Two types of berries exist in Pikmin 2: Purple and Red. 10 Purple berries are used to make one Ultra-bitter spray and 10 Red berries are used to make one Ultra-spicy spray. Ultra-bitter sprays are used to turn enemies into stone temporarily, and ultra-spicy sprays are used to make pikmin faster and stronger, and turn their growth into a glowing red orb.
- Two treasures are also known as berries: the Sunseed Berry and the Combustion Berry.
