Burrowing Snagret

The Burrowing Snagret is an enemy in the Pikmin games. They are underground bird heads with long necks. They pop up unexpectedly when the Pikmin come near and try to eat them. The best strategy is to throw Pikmin at its head, which will stop it from attacking further until it burrows again. Sometimes, it will get stuck while coming up, and leaves it open for swarming. When it dies, its whole body explodes by segments, implying that that is its whole body. In Pikmin 2, however, their head is left for collecting.
