Pikmin 4 actually has 2 types of pits, but I don't know how or where to add it[edit]
The first type is documented, it's the type where thrown pikmin die that's in some caves. However, everywhere else, like in the Piklopedia, thrown Pikmin will respawn on top of the active leader with no animation, and they still have the status they had before (frozen, thrown, in the Pikmin 4 player character's party (even if they respawn on Oatchi)).
