Error

If you think you've found an error in any of the information copied directly from the game, please leave a note of it here, under the line. Include the page name and error you have found.

Strife Monolith

On Strife Monolith, "Our world isn't simply black or white, right or wrong Everybody is different." In between wrong and everybody, there should be a period. I'm looking at the game screen right now.

Corrected, also noticed that And wasn't capitalized <_<. Thanks for the notice.--Prezintenden

Water Dumple

On the page Water Dumple/louie I just played the game and I edited the notes. It didn't make sense previously; how do you deep-fry dumples for all the flavor with HALF the fat? It was missing "without batter", so I added that... Portal-Kombat

Is that what it actually says in the game? God, I can't believe I messed that up. ...Actually, no, I can. I do stuff like that a lot. —Jimbo Jambo

Wikia's projects...

One of the Wikia's projects is the notes for the Pikmin 1 parts. Well, the ones that do exist have no color. I really think/recommend adding color to the text, to be even more original. If you remember, color is added via:

text [SRB2]EspyoT 20:39, 16 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, the colour in the game is only to highlight important words, isn't it? Would it be appropriate to have those coloured, and is there any need for it?GP

The Exhausted Superstick/journal seems wrong...--the master --MewFan128 17:02, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

I see nothing. What do you mean?--Prezintenden

Oh, my computer doesn't show the third line...--the master --MewFan128 03:17, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Walk up a sweat

On Olimar's journal entry for the Extreme Perspirator, it says, "People could walk up a good sweat with this thing." Shouldn't that be work up? Emperor Bulblax (talk) 14:23, 29 September 2012 (EDT)

Just checked in-game, you're right. Fixed. You could post that on the treasure's talk page next time though, it'd be better organized. — {EspyoT} 08:08, 30 September 2012 (EDT)

Sud Generator and Harmonic Synthesizer

Both of these journal entries had a glaring error. I already fixed them; the Sud Generator had "and" instead of "an", and for the Harmonic Synthesizer, the correct spelling is "their", not "thier". --Luigifan (talk) 16:11, 21 July 2013 (EDT)

Open Architecture

I think both the journal and the sales pitch for this item are erroneous. However, given that this is a PAL-exclusive item, they may actually conform to European grammar standards. Could somebody please check this for me? --Luigifan (talk) 16:10, 21 July 2013 (EDT)

It sounded wrong (as in how it flowed) if you said it out loud, so I removed it. The editor didn't classify it as spelled wrong, though it did classify the word "amongst" as wrong, so I'm not sure it can be trusted. -Los Plagas
Sorry, disregard my last post, I thought you were referring to the opening sentence. However, I noticed several grammatical and spelling errors, so I fixed them. I believe that the ones I fixed were not right in either language style; please fix my revisions if you have issue. -Los Plagas
Aha! Fixed it! The problem that I think you are referring to is the fact that, in the Sales Pitch, these words are present: "Its a shame". That is actually an in-game error, as is noted on the template for the Sales Pitch. -Los Plagas
All that was needed was the sic template. ~PikFan23

Iridescent Glint Beetle error

On Iridesent Glint Beetle/Olimar, Olimar isn't capitalized. Sorry. I don't know of that was something worth bringing up, but it was just something I noticed.

Survival Ointment

The notes for the Survival Ointment here are for the Gamecube version. For the Wii version, they just added a coma. The notes for the Wii version are:

"In a survival situation, the most important things are water, courage, and a first-aid kit. I've got water and an endless supply of courage, but I don't have a first-aid kit. Sometimes I don't have a whole lot of motivation, either. I may be a daring explorer, but sometimes I just want to loaf around all day and sleep. Wait... What if the president reads this journal? Uh... Ahem... I'd never dream of slacking on the job! Yeah..."

As you can see, a coma was added between "motivation" and "either" (line 2). Marty (talk) 17:16, 7 June 2016 (EDT)

Ranging bloyster

I found an entry about Louie's notes on the Ranging Bloyster through the Mistakes page, but the text from the game didn't have a mistake in it. (It's a spelling which is correct in American English, though it looks odd to British and Irish readers.) I edited the "Mistakes" entry, added a note in the trivia of the page "Ranging bloyster" explaining it, and edited the "sic" out of the notes Notes:Ranging_Bloyster/louiegc and Notes:Ranging_Bloyster/louiewiius. Only after that, I saw the text saying that I should've posted here instead of editing the notes myself. Apologies, I really should've paid more attention. 213.205.194.97 10:54, May 15, 2020 (EDT)

Righto. The idea of the notice is to stop people from changing the text when they think the text is meant to be different, since the idea is for the pages with this template to be 100% pure copies of the in-game text, and not subject to be changed. Stuff like this is fine. Anyway, that said, the European version of Pikmin 2 doesn't change any Americanism, so I don't think we should make special mention of this one. It's simpler to just delete it outright. I'll also add a note to the NPC! article to point out how they also changed a bunch of American terms and spellings to British versions. — {EspyoT} 13:14, May 15, 2020 (EDT)

The Key

I edited Notes:The_Key/ship to fix a typo, before seeing the notice to post here instead. I did double-check the in-game text (American version of GC Pikmin 2, cutscene when bringing back the key on Citadel of Spiders 5) to ensure the game doesn't have the typo, before editing. Judging from the above section, it sounds like it should be all right? But I thought I should leave a note here to be sure; there might be version differences to account for? Karisa (talk) 03:48, October 8, 2020 (EDT)

For cases like this, where the person confirms, it's pretty fine. That said, I did go ahead and double-checked the files for all versions and regions, and that extra "a" is nowhere. So yeah, it really was a transcription error, good work! — {EspyoT} 11:26, October 8, 2020 (EDT)

Prototype Detector

There is a small typo in the ship's dialogue about the Prototype Detector when it first drops from the Empress Bulblax. "I must have been ingested" should be an "It must have been ingested." I checked a few let's play videos and whatnot and confirmed that this isn't a typo made in-game either, this is definitely a transcription error. 1337Walrus (talk) 01:15, June 15, 2023 (EDT)

Notes:Justice Alloy/journal

Says "Snarget" instead of "Snagret", doubled checked original description and it's correctly spelled "Snagret" as well Sparrow44124 (talk) 21:01, June 27, 2023 (EDT)

Incorrect formatting of Olimar's Notes on Anode Beetle

Olimar's Notes on the Anode Beetle does not follow the formatting present in the Piklopedia itself (at least, it does not do so for Pikmin 4), where there should be a line break after "[...] glycogen for its energy." and "[...] generates the electrical charge." and "[...] creatures in the immediate vincinity." This formatting is present for notes that are not within the Notes category, such as all of Dalmo's Notes within Enemy pages, and this should be fixed for consistency purposes. CottageCory (talk) 13:23, 31 July 2023 (EDT)

Time Marker Notes are transcriptions from incorrect treasure

Olimar's and Schnauz's notes on the Time Marker appear to be copies of their notes on the Path Creator. Louie's notes are correct, however. --Beylese 20:47, 15 Jan 2023 (EDT)
