The Fastening Item is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually a blue button. It can be found in Dream Home.

Collecting the treasure

Dream Home

There is a Fastening Item inside of a ceramic pot along the right edge of Sublevel 1 of the Dream Home. It is guarded by a Gildemandwee, which should be defeated before attempting to collect this treasure, although it is not strictly necessary. To collect this treasure, you must break the pot with a Rush from Oatchi, then throw 1 Pikmin at it.

Primordial Thicket

There are two Fastening Items lying on a platform near the top left of the Primordial Thicket. They are guarded by a Bogswallow, which should be defeated before attempting to collect these treasures, although it is not necessary to do so. To collect them, you must first use 30 Ice Pikmin to freeze the nearby mud; then, use 1 Pikmin for each treasure to collect them.
