Russ is the Material Engineer and inventor of the crew in Pikmin 4. He can be seen conversing with the others. He appears to be bald and have a pear-shaped head, a long nose, and appear to wear glasses. He has the same pointy ears as the main leader. His head shape bears a resemblance to the spammer that advertises Hocotate Whiz in Pikmin 2. Russ runs "The Lab", a shop where the player is able to spend materials they've collected on upgrades for themselves or Oatchi. His name may allude to Jack Russell Terriers. Like Collin and Shepherd, he is from the planet Giya.
