The Mock Bottom is found on top of a waterfall in the Tropical Wilds. To get this, you will need either Blue or Winged Pikmin. With Blue Pikmin, order the Pikmin to build the climbing stick. Once it is complete, they will automatically pick up the fruit, which only needs 10 Pikmin to carry. Do note that if Blue Pikmin are used, they will carry it through the small pond in which many Puckering Blinnows reside. Take them out before collecting the fruit.
If you choose to use Winged Pikmin instead, they must not build the climbing stick. If they climb it, and are unsupervised, they will fall into the water and drown. As such, it is easier to lock-on to the object from nearby, and order the Winged Pikmin to collect it. It may be a bit hard to scan, but is still possible nonetheless.
Notes
Brittany's notes
- US version
“Sigh. The specimen is slightly fuzzy, has a high juice content, and has a hardy pit that should travel well back to Koppai. And as a scientist, I cannot and should not remark that it looks almost exactly like a bottom, hee hee! Sigh. The specimen is slightly fuzzy...”
- European version
“Skin: pink colouration, fuzzy texture. Flesh: soft, with a high water content. Stone: large, robust. Appearance: looks like a bottom! Tee hee hee!”
