The Swarming Sheargrub is a large sheargrub-like enemy from Pikmin 3. It in every way excluding size and color looks like a Female Sheargrub. They are known to follow Pikmin from a distance, and can distract your swarm as a result. They are notably faster than most Mandiblards.
They move around in "swarms" at high speed. They have no form of offense but can move quickly taking attacking Pikmin with them. They can grow into size after consuming a dose of nectar, growing larger with each dose consumed.
When they spot a salvagable object, such as a fruit, pellet, or carcass, they will jump and sit on top of it, weighing it down, requiring more Pikmin in order to carry the fruit. The larger they are, the more they will weigh.
