Hocotate is Captain Olimar's home planet. It has an atmosphere of carbon dioxide. The name Hocotate comes from Nintendo's headquarters' street address.

The people of Hocotate are about the size of a quarter and can only breathe methane. Oxygen is poisonous to people from Hocotate.
