The Subterranean Menace is a treasure that is unlocked when the player scans the Mr. Resetti amiibo from the Animal Crossing series. It looks just like the amiibo, and is worth × 200.
Collecting the treasureEdit
After scanning the amiibo on the area selection screen (in any sector), the treasure will appear in one of the Secret Spots of the area. Then, the player has to retrieve the Subterranean Menace in that spot.
Notes
Hey! Pikmin logs
“The S.S. Dolphin II started behaving oddly after finishing its analysis of this object. "That there's a warrior from the underground, ya get me? Lookit its weapon and helmet and alla that!" This is strange, even by its standards. I hope the ships's A.I. hasn't caught a virus. Maybe I should reset its systems.”

TriviaEdit
- The "odd behavior" of the S.S. Dolphin II is a direct references to how Mr. Resetti speaks in the Animal Crossing series, having a deep Bronx accent.
- This implies the treasure was somehow able to influence the S.S. Dolphin II through scanning it.
- Olimar mentions "resetting" the S.S. Dolphin II's systems, another direct reference to Mr. Resetti's role of scolding players for resetting the game console as a form of cheating.
