First Part Found is the fourth day of Olimar's Comeback. It takes place in the Distant Tundra, with the objective of carrying a ship part to the SPERO.

PlotEdit

After finding the Hocotate Ship, Olimar travels to the Distant Tundra to look for the missing ship parts. Much like the first game, the first ship part they find is the most important: the Main Engine. Although, it seems they have somehow defeated none of the enemies or destroyed any of the obstacles between the SPERO and the part's location, so the goal for the remainder of the day is to clear a path back.

At the end of the day, Olimar proposes he and Louie split up for the next region, but worries about Louie exploring on his own.

DescriptionEdit

The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Pikmin 3 Deluxe.
Particularly: Describe the area and the day, broadly. Remember to explain what parts of the area are or are not accessible.

The day is themed around making a path to take the Main Engine from its starting point to the SPERO by destroying gates, building bridges, and defeating enemies that are in the way. Once the Main Engine is retrieved, the day ends.

The player plays in the main segment of the Distant Tundra with the double bridges. They start in the bottom of the three high ledges below the President-like snow statue with the Main Engine, the Yellow Onion, and no Pikmin. The main exit is blocked by two Kingcaps, one containing nectar, and three Spotcaps, all containing nectar. The opposite side has a geyser that will take the player to 5 Yellow Pikmin sprouts, strangely planted in a straight line, and 16 Blue Pikmin sprouts, also in a line, leading toward the slide on the top. Right outside that section are two Wollywogs, 5 Yellow Pikmin sprouts, an electric gate leading to the bridges, stubborn rocks covering the Pikmin swapping point used in story mode, and Kingcaps with Spotcaps in the water blocking the entrance to the stream.

QuotesEdit

BriefingEdit

Don’t bother lifting that ship part until you’ve cleared a route back, including bridges! I don’t want to see any bite marks on Hocotate Freight property!

OutlineEdit

Mission Log, Day 4: We’ve found the most important part of the ship, the main engine! It’s a bit dirty from exposure to the elements, but it should still function. Now to consider how to transport it back to base without any indigenous creatures damaging it.

Loading screen tipEdit

Defeat those creatures in the way, and safely make it through with the parts.

During gameplayEdit

In some situations during gameplay, Olimar or Louie will leave a comment.

Trigger Olimar Louie
Near the Yellow Onion  We need to bring these parts back to the pod, or we can’t go home!  Precious parts…
Passing by the snow statue resembling the President  The nose is missing from that president-looking statue.  Something’s watching me. I just know it.
At the midway point between the two bridges  Let’s search the shore on the other side.  Get to the opposite shore…
At the end of the blue bridge near the Red Onion  The part we found looks so old. I believe it used to be a luxury item.  Aw… I am starving.
Approaching electric gate blocking path to SPERO  The retrieval point is past that electric gate!  The retrieval point is close.
Going near the SPERO  Oh, my poor family back home! Please be patient...  Almost mealtime.

Assignment ReportEdit

We got one of the parts, but the going won’t be easy from here. Louie and I are thinking of splitting up to find a way through the next region. I worry about him going off on his own. Maybe there’s a way to keep an eye on him from a distance. We’ll work it out, I suppose. Or else.

TriviaEdit

  • Since the Yellow Onion is separated from the Master Onion, and this level is the first level of Olimar's Comeback to use Yellow Pikmin, it's likely they rediscovered Yellow Pikmin on this day (much like the Koppai team did in story mode).
    • Although, in Side Stories, it seems most Onions are separated, like in Pikmin and Pikmin 2, or outright missing. Because of the debatable canon of this mode, it's likely this separation is due to gameplay purposes rather than showing a devolution of the Onions.
  • There is a seemingly unused piece of gameplay dialog that is specified in the files for this stage but cannot be triggered. Olimar's line is Pikmin are lost. We must make a path to carry the parts! and Louie's line is The Pikmin are lost... So we need a path..
