We should have a fan art contest! Come up with what ever. This may seem out of place on a wiki, but c'mon, the whole reason we do this is because we love Pikmin. IAMAHIPO_ocolor 02:46, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

Changed forum. By fan art, do you mean actually drawing the stuff by hand? If so, if I did anything, it'd preferably be in charcoal or pencil. Would that be weird?GP
Not at all. I find that black and white pictures have a certain charm; something nostalgic. I've never really drawn something video-game related. Considering Pikmin, it'll probably be something ambient. ...I am really bad at drawing surroundings. A challenge, but I've got time now and will give it a try.--Prezintenden
Whenever I draw something, I tend to make the background very simple, unless there's a specific reason for making it complex. This is so that it doesn't detract from the focus, and so that it's easier. Anyway, seeing as it's the weekend, I may as well give it a try. Right now I'm thinking of trying to convey the suffering of the Pikmin, having been recently inspired by the lyrics to Ai no Uta again, but I'm not really at all experienced in drawing living things. We'll see what happens...GP 19:13, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

by fan art, I mean anything. Even stuff like papaer machae Pikmin. IAMAHIPO_ocolor 01:52, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm still getting to know how to draw distance-to-size relations. The pictures messed up, so I don't know how to continue with this. Although, I did make a deranged paper-mâche Puffy Blowhog with the help of a balloon when Pikmin 1 first came out. I might upload that for humourous uses.--Prezintenden
Ooh, forgot about this. I did roughly sketch something just to get the composition ready, then forgot to do the actual picture. Might make it this weekend.GP 12:45, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I got mine, just need to get it uploaded (with a scanner)

I forgot how long it takes to make art... Mine'll be done, but not any time soon. Plus, I decided to do it A3, which also means I'll have to photograph it rather than scan it.GP 21:18, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I am really a good visualizer, and idea person, but suck at drawing. When I upload mine sometime in the next few days, take that into account. Also, i thin it is quite moving :O

Most people tell me I'm the opposite. They say that I have all the practical skills, but lack imagination. I try to be creative...GP 08:11, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
There. A demented, cross-bred Blowhog. My old artwork dusting away on the shelf. Enjoy.--Prezintenden20:19, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

I like it :D very cute. I can't upload mine till my stepfather brings it in to the office scanner. I won't be able to upload it till next week probably. IAMAHIPO_ocolor 21:04, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

GRAHH! I go to a place to scan my picture and send it to me (for a $2 fee) and they mess up on it! I'll get it up soon! IAMAHIPO_ocolor 20:08, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

Here's some of my fan art. Image:Impact.png. I'm trying to recreate moments in the series, so I figured I might as well start with the beginning of Pikmin. MrX8991 was here Mr. X 22:14, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Nicely cartoony. I like the style.GP 07:29, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Here's the next one in the series. Image:Encounter.png. I think this one is obvious. I think it's better than my last one and it took less time to make. MrX8991 was here Mr. X 22:14, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Wait, why do you have a doubled-up sig? Anyway, I think I prefer the first one; the grassy/foresty textures in the second, while fine, do look a little out of place, and the composition doesn't seem so good. There's probably too much empty space.GP 20:47, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
