The Telekinesis Detector is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually a Neon Blue left Joy-Con for the Nintendo Switch.

Collecting the treasureEdit

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Telekinesis Detector is on a ledge at the far east of sublevel 2 of the Ultimate Testing Range. It is guarded by a Miniature Snootwhacker and a Withering Blowhog, which should be defeated before attempting to collect it. The treasure is blocked by a rusty iron fence, so use 10 Winged Pikmin as the button in the center of the sublevel will not lower the fence.

If Winged Pikmin aren't an option, throw Yellow Pikmin or use a Glowmob with Glow Pikmin to get them up to carry the treasure. Because their path is blocked, they'll start to walk in a circle around the point they initially picked it up. If the pikmin are whistled when the treasure is at the edge of this circle and thrown at it again, the center of their circle will be slightly shifted. These steps can be repeated until the treasure falls off its platform and to the area below. By carefully using Oatchi to jump on the walls to get around the iron fence, his rush can then be used to position the Telekinesis Detector for a Swallow teleport glitch. On this side of the iron fence, Oatchi can also be used to jump onto the slightly higher walls near the pink Candypop Bud. This gives the player just enough height to use pikmin other than yellows or glows.

NotesEdit

Schnauz's notesEdit

Do you believe in psychic powers? You will once you observe this device's uncanny behavior. That is, it vibrates all on its own! Surely this is proof that telekinesis—or yes, even psychokinesis—exist. Gaaah! Did it just vibrate again?!

Olimar's notesEdit

This machine is equipped with an advanced vibration feature. The vibrations seem to be communicating in a vacuum, perhaps trying to reach out to its corresponding system, which has likely been lost to time. Who knows what the machine is trying to say, but it's telling me something about the sadness of abandoned technology.

Louie's notesEdit

Makes for a great back massager.
