Emergency Kits are automatically unlocked when the Lab is first accessible and can be purchased at the Lab for 5 raw materials each. In the side mode Olimar's Shipwreck Tale, Olimar acquires Emergency Kits as bonuses for recovering 4, 7 and finally 11 ship parts; the first two of these coincide with improvements to Moss's Buff skill.

In order to use it, the player must open the pack menu. This item can also be assigned as a shortcut.
