The Glinty Circular Disc (推定物体GC?, lit.: "Estimation Object GC") is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually a Japanese disc of Wave Race: Blue Storm for the Nintendo GameCube.

Collecting the treasureEdit

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The treasure is located on the final sublevel of the Engulfed Castle and is dropped by the Waterwraith upon defeat.

NotesEdit

Schnauz's notesEdit

This disc vexes me greatly. I've analyzed it, meditated over it, and even given it a good whack or two, and still I can't decipher its purpose! But drawing upon my rather prodigious treasure knowledge, I surmise it is either a piece of equipment used for gathering solar energy, or it's a weapon capable of reflecting light at troublesome beasts to scare them off. Quite useful either way!

Olimar's notesEdit

I think this might be a tool for warding off predators. Perhaps if I attached it to my back, the creatures of this planet would be deterred from chasing me. I could test this theory on the Pikmin... Of course, they might end up carrying me instead, treasure and all.

Louie's notesEdit

Ooo, it's so shiny! I can't decide if I'm drawn to it or if I should run in the other direction.

TriviaEdit

  • GameCube discs as treasures were originally planned for Pikmin 2, as evidenced by four unused models. However, Wave Race: Blue Storm was not among these four.
  • Coincidentally, Prima Games once published a 4-in-one strategy guide which included both the guides for Pikmin and Wave Race: Blue Storm.
  • This treasure's name can be abbreviated to "GC Disc", as in "GameCube Disc". This is likely intentional, as "GC" is present in the Japanese, Korean, and both Chinese names, and most other languages are direct translations of the Japanese name minus the "GC".
