Predecessor
I noticed that the predecessor is referred to as a "prequel" in this template. This is actually incorrect terminology, as a "prequel" (portmanteau of pre and sequel) is normally something that is released after the work, but set before it in its timeline (i.e. if a game set before the original Pikmin is released, that's a prequel to Pikmin, but Pikmin is not a prequel to Pikmin 2). "Predecessor" (as used in the template documentation) would be a more accurate term; I am thinking this should be changed in the template, but wanted to bring it up on the talk page first.--Vellidragon (talk) 11:40, 25 July 2013 (EDT)
Supported languages
I propose to add this to the Infobox, since other NIWA wikis (like the "Super Mario Wiki" or "Wikirby") have this, and it's useful for users who quickly want to know which languages the game support (without having to scroll to the "History" or "Other information" section).

Sequel
This template currently uses "Predecessor" and "Sequel" to describe related games. This is currently causing a problem for the Pikmin 3 page, because it cannot list Pikmin 4 as its "sequel", due to their in-universe timeline relation being unknown.
When I created this template, I had called them "Prequel" and "Sequel", although the former was renamed when Vellidragon pointed out that that wasn't the correct term. Unfortunately, only one of the terms was updated at the time—"sequel" also should have been renamed "successor", to properly parallel "predecessor".
If "sequel" is renamed to "successor", then Pikmin 3 could correctly list Pikmin 4 as its successor instead of its sequel (since the game is clearly its successor, regardless of their relative positions in the timeline). --SnorlaxMonster 07:40, December 29, 2023 (EST)
