Protected

Don't you think that our Main Page should be protected so that no common rapscallion will be able to mock our wiki by destroying the Main Page? Most large wikis have done this, so it should be advised we take this action so that only news and important additions should be checked and made by the wiki's officials. --The Pikmin God 15:46, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

I agree, for one thing, there are people who would do this or even cover this page with curse words, then there are the people who are board and don't have anything to do, and THEN we have to deal with the people who decide to mess with it when pikmin 3 comes out, so with all do respect, do it!--Prof. 00:33, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Check out the Main Page Protection section further down this page. The Main Page was protected for a while, but we were advised to leave it unprotected to registered users only unless it became a specific target for vandalism, and we haven't actually had a lot of trouble with it, at least not so much that couldn't easily be handled. It also makes it a lot easier for users to fix minor problems with it without having to go and tug the sleeve of an admin to do it for them. —Jimbo Jambo 18:40, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Featured Article

When will we start the featured article? I think Revan was planning to publish this supposedly...stolen...idea, and put it on the Main Page. We should also improve the quality of the Main Page by andding colored boxes and including a guide to reading and finding the information. This page is still recomended by me to be protected. --The Pikmin God 20:41, 22 May 2006 (UTC)

Im going to do the featured article every week. it will change every friday until the voting page starts to work effeiciently--Goolixburp!!!    19:03, 18 December 2006 (UTC)

Unprotected

For whatever reason this page should be unprotected, go right ahead. I just protected it to make sure that our Title Page wouldn't be subject to simple vandalism: destroying Main Pages. --The Pikmin God 21:02, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

Improvement Drive

What is the Improvement Drive section supposed to have on it?--The Pikmin God 20:14, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

The iprovement drive needs any article that lacks any vital information.I'm not sure if you have to nominate an article and then people vote if they want it,Or that an admin or someone just puts it there.--Goolixburp!!!   23:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC) we should have a page where we take votes on things and we should start nominating articles for the improvement drive and the featured articles--Goolixburp!!!   23:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Main page look

You guys should have links to various articles. Maybe have boxes for different things (featured article, articles, and another box for... I dunno categories?). Maybe put the info about the wiki in the about page.--Richard 01:11, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

i think we should put the main page as the improvement drive it needs boxes and stuff and we need a group of people that are willing to update the page every month (or week). and we should have a wikipedian of the month kinda thing you know.--Goolixburp!!!   23:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

Voting

we should all start a nominations page for the improvement drive, the featured article, and the pikipedian of the month. Where we nominate articles and vote--Goolixburp!!!   23:19, 16 November 2006 (UTC)

New wiki image

The old wiki image wasn't the right size, so I had a go at making a new one. I'm unsure of the licensing on the old image, my new image can't technically be used and someone needs to redraw it at some point. I'll just leave my new version here on the talk page for now if people like it we can use it temporarily but really someone needs to create some original artwork.

Main page protection

Hullo there! I'm Kirkburn, a Wikia Gaming Helper, and I've just reduced the protection of the Main Page to registered users only.

Wikia's protection policy advises that pages only be protected if they are the target of vandalism - otherwise full protection can cause more damage to the wiki through neglect than vandalism may have otherwise done. I hope this is not a problem! Kirkburn (talk) 09:00, 19 March 2008 (UTC)

Hmm...

Odd, but when I go to the main page, it starts to load the entire thing, but when it is done loading, half of it is... um... Chopped off. I don't know how to explain it, but the "Random Excerpts," "Did You Know...?," "Random picture," "Contents," "Editing," and "Help Desk" sections disappear. Has this happened to anyone else? InfectedShroom

Blame Green. He divided everything into little tabs at the top of the content area, right below the Edit, Discussion, etc. stuff. I can't complain though, since he made a draft and asked if it was okay and nobody objected. Actually though, speaking of etc., why'd you choose to spell out the entire thing Green? Don't people usually just say "etc."? —Jimbo Jambo
We went through this multiple times, but Green just insisted on spelling it out. Anyway, it always loads the entire page, then switches to the tab functions. I find it to look good and interesting, though.--Prezintenden 12:09, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

...Fail. There's nothing in my monobook as I removed it as it's all in mediawiki:monobook.css now. As for the answer, you could look at that; that's pretty much all I did - looked at other wikis. I pretty much taught myself CSS by example through creating this skin, and it kind of shows at least a little on IE. I've labeled the sections, so you can find the bits you asked about by looking at the titles on that page.

The background is two images: one for the back, outside the page, that's fully opaque; and a paler one in the content area to create the idea of transparency. If you have further questions, ask away.GP 16:43, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Links

I think the links in the first box on the page (top left) should be removed or moved to the quick links box. This would let the text in the top left box spread out a bit more, so the feature can move up a bit, so more of it is on the screen as should be the case. Also, I'm not sure why links like that are in that box anyway.GP

I agree... I'm ~Lonely Turret~ And I approve this message.
I think those are some good links to have, but considering that we do have a "Quick Topics" box, they probably could be moved. —Jimbo Jambo

great idea

Ok, I've come up with a great page: "list of implied characters". it could have the space bunnies, Olimars parents and anyother people unseen but known about! what do you think? Wiki443556  17:13, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Hmmmm... interesting I'm ~Lonely Turret~ And I approve this message.
I have no objections to you creating the page, as long you keep it separate from the current characters page. Or you could add a section on to the characters page with your list of implied characters. Last Onion
What are you going to write? If you're doing nothing other than listing them, I wouldn't consider it worth an entire article.--Prezintenden
Yeah, that, unless you're suggesting all implied characters' articles (if they have any? Can't remember) be removed and put on that one page. I guess it makes sense to have them all listed somewhere together, though, if they don't already have articles, since we have at least a sentence of text about each, but it would be quite a short article.GP

New Featured Article

I Noticed The Article Was Changed To "Scales" By an IP. i edited it so it wouldn't end up like

And i changed the link to the corresponding article. If I Find Another Error I Will Fix It. and there is many errors. Especially That Spam On The Bulbmin Article. i fixed that BTW. Woah! 2 Links In 1 Comment! I'm Redpikmin Flamethrower And I approve this message.

Piklopedia

For some reason, Ive found it hard to reach the piklopedia, if someone could make it easier to reach such as make a direct link to some of the major things on the main page such as areas, the piklopedia, and the treasure hoard.--Prof. 01:17, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

You could just use the search box. We removed the links like those that we had before when the layout changed with all the new adverts nonsense; maybe we could do with a link to the root category on the sidebar, from where every page can be accessed?GP
For that matter, why the heck isn't THIS called piklopedia? Copyright issues? NinjaBoyLao (talk) 07:40, 31 July 2017 (EDT)
Because if people tried searching for the in-game "Piklopedia", they could get this wiki, and if they wanted the wiki, they could find the in-game feature instead. It'd become too confusing very quickly. Plus, Pikipedia's pun is better in that it's only one letter away from "Wikipedia". — {EspyoT} 16:15, 31 July 2017 (EDT)

Random Picture

Couldn't we put a Featured Picture instead of a Random Picture?   Snake boss14   00:08, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Yes, we could, but it would mean one more thing to change every now and then. If you're all for it and think others will be, create a forum topic for it and ask people to vote, and if the majority's for, of course that change will be made.GP

In which forum could I request it?  Snakeboss14  21:54, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
Forum:Watercooler.GP

New Featured Image

My idea worked till the moment. Yay!

Anyways, where is the Featured Image vote?  Snakeboss14

I thought the idea was just for certain people to change it without a vote, so it can be changed more often than the featured article. Or maybe elect one person, and if others feel an image needs featuring, they can leave a suggestion at template talk:featured image, so that if there is something people want it gets featured, but otherwise something gets featured anyway and it doesn't get left the same for ages. I don't know, maybe that would work more smoothly?
As to who...you're quite active recently...GP
I actually agree on the idea that is is changed by both ideas. As for the second, I would gladly change it every week or so.....
What do you say?  Snakeboss14
Well, I see no-one objecting... I say go ahead. It's obvious what to change in template:featured image, right? And, I guess, try to get a broad range of images, like some enemies, some areas, some treasures; some screenshots, some concept art, some of that clay stuff.GP
Ok, I'll do. But, why is there a random picture with the Bulbmin? Also, how do I change the image? By changing it in the template?  Snakeboss14
Well, I had to put an image in it, or it'd be an empty box... And yeah, edit the template, change the image and caption text. Leave the size, otherwise it'll be too small or start going outside of the box it's in.GP

it still says random image at the bottom. Rpwyb 23:56, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Random Question

hi long time no see wiki :P. I was wondering whether this wiki would be allowed to join NIWA, or does something stop it? Wiki443556

Perhaps you need to read what they're about. Their very name makes it clear they're against Wikia.GP

and you have joined. the irony is grand. 86.21.5.76

Well, yeah, obviously it's different now we're independent. GP

Featured Article

The Waterwraith has been the featured article for quite a while. Perhaps we should change it? Vol (Talk)

We discussed it earlier, and I don't know how it ended up. Ask Green.  Snakeboss14

Ad Box

Several wikis have their main pages redirect to another page to avoid the large ad box on the main page. This is now default for all new wikis. I think we should move it. Vol (Talk)

It just shows up on Main Page, not whatever's in mediawiki:mainpage? That's odd: getting around ads sounds like it would be against Wikia policy, but I've seen staff suggest moving the main page to the title of the wiki - maybe that was before the new adverts? I'd look into it, but I'm on holiday for a week from tomorrow.GP

Just a question

I was just wondering if anyone has ever hacked into the game and looked to see if there was and beta material, like beta areas, enemies, or even pikmin. that aren't in the main game. VersionJay 23:50, 19 September 2010 (EDT)

Just an area AFAIK; see Forum:O.o. GP

Count

Why is the article count including pages in addition to article? That includes talk pages, user pages, and just about any other namespace, which doesn't make it a "true" article count. Turtwig A 17:34, 25 September 2010 (EDT)

My guess is that someone used the NUMBEROFPAGES magic word instead of the NUMBEROFARTICLES magic word. Vol (Talk)

Well, I understand how it is done, but I want to know why. Turtwig A 22:02, 25 September 2010 (EDT)
Someone wanted the wiki to look bigger than it really is, and they did it in a very clandestine manner... Or maybe it was just a mistake.

Peanut64 just did it, probably because the article number isn't right yet. Give it time. GP

And yeah :] Enjoy your tomorrow, and the 15th another wiki will be added to NIWA, so keep your eyes peeled! :D Malake256 19:27, 7 October 2010 (EDT)

Congratulaions, you're now officially part of NIWA! Every part of the site except for the main page (though that's probably issues on my part) has been updated. Turtwig A 07:12, 8 October 2010 (EDT)
Congratulations and welcome to NIWA in behalf of all of the Zelda Wiki.org staff! :D Just wanted to let you guys know that if there are any announcements you guys would like for others outside of Pikipedia to know about, then we'll gladly announce it on our Main Page, just like we have with every other wiki on NIWA (for example, we announced Wars Wiki's new main page layout, Pikipedia joining NIWA, etc...). See you folks around! Dany36 14:25, 9 October 2010 (EDT)
Where has the logo being used come from? What's with the silly brightness?
Also, out of interest, is the notice at the top of this page not showing up for people? GP
The notice is showing up for me, but I don't see the new logo (thankfully). —Jimbo Jambo 02:37, 10 October 2010 (EDT)
No, not here, at NIWA central (link in sidebar). GP
Oh, there it is. So now I see the image, but I see no sitenotice. —Jimbo Jambo 13:22, 10 October 2010 (EDT)
No, not that; the one at the top of this page ('It is preferred that discussion not related to the Main Page be held on the forums.'). Tongue-in-cheek, you see. GP

independence

how do make my wiki independant? does it cost money?

It costs money to get your own domain, yes. You can get a free hosted sub-domain, however, such as my site. Vol (Talk)

There are nicer free subdomains like subdomain.co.cc. Free hosting exists as well, and can be fine for low-traffic sites. GP

Twitter?

Really? I'm kind of vehemently against it (us having an account, not the site...). I won't even go into how this was done with no prior discussion. GP

Yeah, that was kind of random. Maybe we should take the link off the main page and then have a vote on whether or not there should even be one? Vol (Talk)

NIWA bar

I mentioned this over two months ago on the NIWA forums, but no-one seemed to pick up on it then. On your NIWA bar, the listing for Nookipedia has "Nookipedia" in the place where the series' name is listed for other wikis, and names the wiki "Animal Crossing Wiki". Can an administrator please fix this? --Moydow 19:37, 25 March 2011 (EDT)

Oh, I never saw that topic, and for some reason never noticed it when I made a fix to Vol's edit. Done now. Also, for stuff like that, feel free to do it yourself: the page isn't protected or anything. GP
Okay, thanks. Moydow 16:33, 26 March 2011 (EDT)

Background image

Our current background image is a bit... lackluster. I propose a new image. Mainly because of:

  • Its dimensions are a bit weird. My Firefox is set to use a soft blue as a default background color, so the left half of the background is a solid blue and the other half is the image [2]. Most wikis use:
    • A picture that is a lot longer than ours.
    • A transparent one, so the browser's background color can blend in.
    • A small image repeated as a pattern.
  • Secondly, that image isn't that good to begin with... in my opinion.
    • It's just a Purple and White Pikmin, with tons of copy-pasted buried White Pikmin.
    • Clay Pikmin figures are... well, funny, but they aren't exactly good looking. Specially regarding the Pikmin series, with games that have very beautiful graphics at some points.
    • The foreground Pikmin are floating. Look at the shadows!

So, with all that, I strongly believe we should come up with some other picture. User made or not, I just think this one should be changed. Anything that follows those points I mentioned before would be great. Thoughts? {EspyoT} 14:04, 12 February 2012 (EST)

I've said in IRC why I don't admit half your points, but I agree with your overall argument. If anyone has any ideas (Espyo's talking about repeated patterns, mostly), share them. GP 14:50, 12 February 2012 (EST)

NIWA Check in request

Hello, I'm dkpat from Golden Sun Universe/NIWA. I recently made a thread on the NIWA forums requests that an admin from each wiki "check-in" and give an update on their wiki activity. I would appreciate it if someone from Pikipedia (and PikiminFanon) could check in. Thank you. Link 136.165.223.85 14:23, 25 October 2012 (EDT)

Vandalism

If you haven't noticed, the featured page text box has been vandalized to say "Hey there, faggot". I've checked in other edits before the latest one, and they all seem to have it, even the ones by trustworthy users such as Greenpickle and Espyo. I've tried editing it, but it doesn't seem to be there in the edit box. I'd like someone who's more skilled in programming to remove it. Los Plagas (talk)

...Errm, I'm afraid I can't follow.--Prezintenden

It's been fixed now, so you may not have seen it. Los Plagas (talk)

"Toolbox" Text Mistake

Um... In the "TOOLBOX", on the sidebar to the left, there is a link which says "Related changes". Although, when I click such page, the URL states that the page the link leads to is supposed to be a "Recent changes" page.

Is the link supposed to appear as "Recent changes"? I think so, as it is in other wikis...

Update: OMG I FORGOT TO SIGN.--187.153.125.180 23:21, 22 June 2013 (EDT)

No, it's fine. "Related Changes" is basically a Recent Changes, but only for the page that you're on. So, for example, if I click Related Changes on the main page, I will only see the recent contributions for that specific page. -Los Plagas (talk)

Timer

Pretty sure it's time for the timer to go (I just realized I made a horrible pun... yay). Like Vellidragon says, the timer isn't really needed anymore. Though, I guess we could make it go up, despite his/her objections to it.... "Pikmin 3 has been out in Japan for 5 days!" or the like. Despite it's comic value, though, that probably isn't a very good idea.... To summarize this kind of weird post: We should probably get rid of the timer. -Los Plagas

Sorry about having to do this, but I have to get this back in the Recent Changes. Is anybody going to answer? -Los Plagas

Oh, sorry about that. We actually discussed this on the chatroom, but never brought it here. Yeah, it can be removed, the banner at the top is enough. — {EspyoT} 19:31, 11 August 2013 (EDT)

Background

Continuing a conversation from earlier that could've blossomed into something but unfortunately didn't due to my computer randomly breaking the Internet connection, I'm glad you agree that the backround of Pikipedia needs a major update. I'd suggest a similar theme, because I really think the Purple and White Pikmin work well together, but I'd also include other Pikmin, possibly as sprouts in the backround to replace the simple (and ugly) copy and pasted White sprouts. I also really think that the new backround, if you do make/find one, should also be white (as in, everything other than the components of the image, I.E. logos, Pikmin, etc.). Not only would it be quite jarring for Pikipedia users to go to the website and suddenly find a say, green backround, I also really hate the Pikmin Wikia's look, which is also green. It's just very hard to read text on a green backround. That said, since this isn't really the most appropriate place for a long discussion pertaining to an important component of the wiki, if you feel this has potential, we should move this topic into a forum, or a place like Talk:Main Page. -Los Plagas

Yes, we should move it to a forum or talk page. Probably Talk:Main Page. I have no idea about what images to use, but I guess I'll cook something up tomorrow. I can't edit anything though, 'cause I don't have admin powers, but I can still create mockups. And for future reference, it's "background" ;){EspyoT} 20:49, 28 August 2013 (EDT)

OH. MY GOD!
Okay, sorry for that outburst, but... I cannot believe I messed that up! I never get words wrong! Never! Well, I now realize that that sounded incredibly arrogant, but... well... I use the word background so many times in my day-to-day life, and I'm usually impeccable about spelling! Spelling is one of my best subjects! Ugh! I guess I should've known that from the spellcheck on the edit window telling me it was wrong, but it also told me that almost all of my contractions were wrong, too, so I didn't really trust it... just... how? How? HOW? -Los Plagas
Everybody makes mistakes... ~PikFan23
Well, yeah, but every single time I typed background (which was a lot, mind you), I spelled it as "backround". So... I was kind of mad about typing it so many times. I even stopped to consider when the spellcheck kept saying it was wrong, but ignored it because, after all, the spellcheck also called words such as could've and should've wrong. -Los Plagas
I just want to say I've taken note of this discussion, but sadly I just do not have any time at all at the moment. A bit of a visual update would be nice, yes. Can't help right now though. I'll be back in a week, we'll update any protected coding then if no other admin is around.--Prezintenden
I have an idea for this. How about something like this? (There are a few minor rendering errors, I won't bother fixing them if the whole thing isn't wanted.) Toomai Glittershine 22:18, 29 August 2013 (EDT)
Toomai, your idea is actually very nice. However, would it trouble you to somehow add text stating "Pikipedia" in a fashionable way somewhere? I really love the colors of the Pikmin, though, but I also do think that we need something to replace the brackets. I can see how they're symbolic of linking and how this is basically a living encyclopedia, but they do seem rather out of place. Furthermore, I approve of the white background, since it makes it very easy to read text, but would it trouble you to somehow add color behind the White Pikmin? Currently, about half of its body below the head is missing, which is... disconcerting, to say the least. -Los Plagas
I'm not sure about having much alphanumeric text in the background, it seems like it would be distracting when trying to read the article text on top of it.
I'll see what I can do with the White. Toomai Glittershine 07:06, 30 August 2013 (EDT)
Sorry, but I'll have to reject that. I was thinking of something that included official artwork. We cannot have user-generated content like that on the background of every single page. Don't get me wrong, the Pikmin themselves don't look half bad, certainly better than what I'd do, but... again, no offense... it looks like wallpaper from a kindergarten. Unless you just created that as a sketch, to later be replaced by some official artwork, in that case, withdrawn. Skipping that discussion, I agree with you when he said that the on text might distract from the text on pages. The idea of White and Purple Pikmin isn't bad; adding too many Pikmin types could make the background distracting. — {EspyoT} 07:23, 30 August 2013 (EDT)
Eh I can't really complain about that. Toomai Glittershine 22:26, 30 August 2013 (EDT)
I'd like to add that most major wikis have their background image move as the user scrolls down the page, preventing long pages from looking too bland. Should we do the same? Los Plagas
But... Pikipedia already has it that way. If you scroll, the background goes with you. — {EspyoT} 07:40, 31 August 2013 (EDT)
Does it? Does it really? Because I'm currently viewing it on a tablet, and I don't see why it would be different for a computer. Fr me, the background is static: once I pass the image, I see nothing but white blankness for the rest of the page. Los Plagas
It does. Your tablet browser mustn't support fixed images. Feel free to try it on a PC if you think I'm for some reason lying. — {EspyoT} 20:23, 31 August 2013 (EDT)
Yep. Works. All suspicious have vanished. Los Plagas

Gallery Renovation

Hi, I had an idea to renovate the galleries like Super Mario Wiki does theirs. When I look at galleries, such as Red Pikmin, I can't help but notice the lack of organization. Maybe they can be split into subsections, e.g. artwork and screenshots, to better organize them. If lot of images pertain to that subject, maybe a Gallery mainspace (again like Mario Wiki does). For game gallery pages, should we make a gallery subpage and try and include all the artwork for each section? Thanks Results May Vary (talk) 17:56, 8 October 2018 (EDT)

Sure thing, but for pages with really big galleries, we should instead use a link to the images category with {{see more}}. Distant Tundra's an example of a page that's already doing this. If the wiki has a lot of images on a subject, and some go unused because they're not included in any gallery, we can take care of that if it happens (create gallery pages, add them to other articles, etc.), but for now, I think this is the ideal solution. — {EspyoT} 17:08, 16 October 2018 (EDT)

Change concept to artwork in template:file info

any thoughts? me and espyo think this is a good idea, but he also wants to change text of concept art around the wiki Results May Vary (talk) 15:28, 9 October 2018 (EDT)

Official Pikmin artwork crops

So on PidgiWiki, there a bunch of crops with transparent backgrounds of the enemies in the first game. Example 1, example 2. Problem is, they're very rough crops, with aliasing. So I'm starting to doubt their legitimacy. If they are official, why would they be so shoddily cropped, instead of being transparent renders directly from Nintendo's models? In the meantime, I had made some manual crops that are much smoother. Example 1, example 2. If those crops are official, I guess we should use them, but if not, my crops work fine. Until then, let's keep my crops the way they were, and in the meantime, we should try to investigate the truth. — {EspyoT} 14:11, 27 October 2018 (EDT)

Well, Results May Vary has been doing some more investigation work, and those renders are actually present in Photoshop project files officially provided by Nintendo Press Kits. Even if they're shoddy, I guess they're official in that regard. Let's accept them as such, then. — {EspyoT} 15:18, 19 November 2018 (EST)

Icons

How are icons for the wiki made? For example, like these:   Red Bulborb   Red Pikmin

--Ben (talk) 17:01, 11 December 2018 (EST)

Do you mean the icon image, or how the icon gets applied when you call {{icon}}? For the former, it depends. Icons from Pikmin 2 come directly from the Piklopedia textures in the game. Other icons are created by grabbing official art (or similar), and adding a black border around it. For the template, it's a very complicated template, but basically, it grabs the name of the subject you send to the template, and places the file called File:<subject> icon.png. This works because on the wiki, all of our icon files have that sort of file name, so the template can just place them down like that directly. — {EspyoT} 04:04, 12 December 2018 (EST)
Is it possible for me to make icon images? --Ben (talk) 10:28, 12 December 2018 (EST)
Anybody can make icons, but they should be consistent with the ones already on the wiki. If you're thinking about making custom designs like the obstacle icons, then you really have to make them in a similar design. What do you need to create icons of? — {EspyoT} 11:52, 29 December 2018 (EST)
Updated versions of some of the objects in the earlier games for Pikmin 3. For example, a Pikmin 3 version of bomb rocks. --Ben (talk) 18:36, 12 January 2019 (EST)
All right. Feel free to give it a try, and let me know if you need help. — {EspyoT} 10:37, 13 January 2019 (EST)
Where do I make the icons? Is it on this wiki? And I'm confused on exactly how to make them. --Ben (talk) 12:35, 15 January 2019 (EST)
Well, you'd create the icons just using any image drawing tool... Maybe it's best to leave it to someone else. — {EspyoT} 12:33, 19 January 2019 (EST)

We got a competitor!

I've noticed that if you look up something from Pikmin. Instead of the Pikipedia, the first thing to pop up is a Pikmin Wiki that uses the Fandom engine. How big of an issue is this? Green Shy Guy 54 (talk) 12:55, August 6, 2020 (EDT)

It's been an issue for roughly 10 years now. Just ignore it, and it will end up dying on its own. — {EspyoT} 12:57, August 6, 2020 (EDT)
How exactly do we ignore it? - ~✿LongTailCat3✿~'s Discussion 16:39, June 14, 2021 (EDT)
I think this is the original Pikmin Wikia. Here’s why:
  • Same Favicon
  • Same Tempates
  • Same Userpages
  • (Mostly) Same Talk Pages
~✿LongTailCat3✿~'s Discussion, 06:10, June 16, 2021 (EDT)
You should read Pikipedia:About#History. Anyway, to ignore the wikia, just ignore it. Never go there, never send people there, never edit there. Just pretend it doesn't exist. — {EspyoT} 16:20, June 16, 2021 (EDT)

New Appearance.

I noticed the Website has rebuilt itself and I dig this style. It's so clean and sleek! The preceding unsigned comment was added by Green Shy Guy 54 • (talk) • (contribs)

Yeah, it ended up pretty nice! — {EspyoT} 11:49, September 26, 2020 (EDT)
It kinda looks like the canvas from Nick Jr. Draw and Play. What are the clovers based off of? (She/Her) Trixie is best pony -LTCat3 Me, Talk to Me 19:47, May 14, 2021 (EDT)
The clovers are based off of the Pikmin 2 Japanese boxart. — {EspyoT} 16:11, May 15, 2021 (EDT)

2010 Theme?

Is there a 2010 Theme? (She/Her) Trixie is best pony -LTCat3 Me, Talk to Me

What do you mean by that? — {EspyoT} 18:17, March 20, 2021 (EDT)
A theme that makes it look like how it did in 2010. (She/Her) Trixie is best pony -LTCat3 Me, Talk to Me
You can go to your user settings at the top-right corner of the page (on desktop), then go to appearance, and choose the Monobook skin there. — {EspyoT} 14:51, March 22, 2021 (EDT)
I know that, I meant like this: https://web.archive.org/web/20100924153831/http://www.pikminwiki.com/ But it would also be neat to have a theme that makes it look like the 2006 version too: https://web.archive.org/web/20061111025317/http://pikmin.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page But these are just theme suggestions, so sorry if these won't work. (She/Her) (She/Her) Trixie is best pony -LTCat3 Me, Talk to Me
The 2006 wikia look belongs to a completely different site, so no. The other look though...that really is the Monobook theme in the settings... The only difference I can find is the background being different. Does Monobook appear different for you when you pick it in the settings? — {EspyoT} 16:36, March 23, 2021 (EDT)
What do you mean by different? The Pikipedia has text and the Background is different, There's no Other Wikis section, and The Toolbox section is named Tools. (She/Her) Trixie is best pony -LTCat3 Me, Talk to Me 09:29, May 15, 2021 (EDT)
I mean that the wikia is internally organized differently, so it's not even possible to pass one theme over to another wiki. The 2010 Pikipedia look is just Monobook, but there is no way to bring back that old text. As for the old background, there are no plans to make a theme that changes just the background. — {EspyoT} 16:11, May 15, 2021 (EDT)

This wiki won’t save

The wiki destroyed my account. I can’t log back in. How do I fix it?

Wikis can't delete anyone's account (because that would make it impossible to attribute content to the right person). Do you remember your old username? You might just have the wrong password. CortexCPU242 (talk) 01:14, November 8, 2023 (EST)

Game Records

Quick question: how do you add that game records on the top right of your account page that shows which Pikmin games you have and beaten, I really wanna know.
