Events are special periods in Pikmin Bloom where in-game rewards are prominent and unique things can happen.

They are announced some time before they happen, in the news section of the main menu, via emails to those who have signed up to receive them, and on the Pikmin Bloom website.

List

The following is a list of events by year.

2021

First Community Day

Community Day was the first public event for Pikmin Bloom. It was announced on November 4th, 2021,[1] just 9 days after the game's global release. It occurred on November 13th and was set to run from 9:00am to 6:00pm local time, however, due to network issues making players unable to access the game, it was extended to run to 8:00pm.[2] During this period, there was a number of rewards and boosts that players could get:

  • Seedlings in the Planter Pack grew at 1.5 times the normal speed.
  • Fruits gave twice the nectar.
  • Big Flowers bloomed into pansies, and flower planting with pansies made them bloom into roses.
    • This effect started the day before and continued throughout the weekend.
  • Users who walked 10,000 steps or more earned a special Community Day Participant badge.
    • To have received this badge, players must have logged in to the game at least once in the 2 weeks after the event.[3]

Second Community Day

The second public event of Pikmin Bloom was also a Community Day. It was announced on December 2nd, 2021,[4][5] and it occurred on December 18th.[6] Unlike the first Community Day, it lasted for the full day. For the effects of this event to work properly, the app needed to be updated to at least version 36.0. Rewards and boosts for participating in this event include:

  • Higher chances of Big Flowers blooming into poinsettias when regular blue, red, yellow, or white petals are planted around them.
  • Players achieving the 10,000 step goal on this day will be awarded a special poinsettia flower badge.
  • Seedlings in the Planter Pack will grow at 1.5 times the usual speed. This effect can be stacked with the flower planting multiplier.

During this event, the step counter on the main menu was replaced with a special poinsettia-themed step counter graphic, which linked to the news menu when tapped before reaching the goal, and the badge's information page after reaching the goal. This made the regular step counter inaccessible.

Holiday Roadside Decor Pikmin

For a limited time centered around Christmas, Roadside-type Decor Pikmin wore special holiday-themed stickers instead of the standard letter stickers. This applied to any Pikmin sprouted during this period, regardless of when it reached Decor status. It started on December 21st, 2021 after being announced the day before,[7] and finished on January 11th, 2022. This is the first event to introduce limited-time special Decor Pikmin. There was another effect of this event which was announced later, which was that coins will be earned 1 for every 250 flowers planted instead of 1 for every 500 flowers planted, capped at 60 coins per day, and lasting for the duration of the event.[8]

Third Community Day

Pikmin Bloom's third Community Day occurred on January 22nd, 2022. It was themed around camellia flowers, and lasted for the whole day. Bonuses included:[9]

  • Big Flowers bloomed into camellias.
  • Players achieving the 10,000 step goal on this day were awarded a special camellia flower badge.
  • Seedlings in the Planter Pack grew at 1.5 times the usual speed. This effect can be stacked with the flower planting multiplier.

This event was announced on January 13th, 2022. The change to the main menu seen in the second Community Day returned in this event, this time with a camellia-themed step counter. Following the event, challenges gave camellia nectar instead of poinsettia nectar.
