Sparklium Springs are special areas in Hey! Pikmin in which Captain Olimar can gather a lot of Sparklium that falls from the sky, under a time limit.
These areas take place in a single room, and once the challenge starts, Pikmin pop out from a bubble on the top screen, and fall down to Olimar on the bottom screen. Shortly thereafter, Sparklium rocks start falling from the sky. These rocks are collected by having either Olimar or a Pikmin touch them, and thrown Pikmin do not bounce back after touching them. Considering that they usually follow in groups, having Olimar collect rocks from one group while throwing Pikmin to handle a group farther away is key to getting the most out the spring.
Throughout this, a timer ticks down. Occasionally, clocks fall from the sky, and can be collected just like a rock. Once they're collected, they add some time to the timer. There are three types of rocks:
- Small yellow ones: worth
- Larger red ones: worth
- Big rainbow ones: worth
Once a spring is entered, it cannot be reentered until some real-time hours have passed.
