ok so i just took off for the night in preplexing pool and i got to the point where the enemies attack the ship, the usual blowhog, wollywog and bulbears (4 to be exact) but the bulbears were acting strange, they seemed to be shaking their heads, twice as fast... The adult bulbear seems to continously try too walk through the shuttle, until it departs...Nin10dude

I've just discovered Dwarf Bulbears appear in the Distant Spring only after day 15. I killed the tree bulbears, amazed by the fact that the dwarf ones never appeared. On day 16, there were only this guys. Twinmold.pngSnakeboss14Twinmold.png

Better Image

Can someone upload a better image of the Dwarf Bulbear for the infobox? The image shows the back of two Dwarf Bulbears and the other one looks a little odd. Maybe we can upload an image like the Dwarf Orange Bulborb picture.File:All.jpgPikminFile:Hairybulborb.jpg1254File:Specialpikmin.JPG

I'd say use the concept art further down the page in the infobox, since the screenshot doesn't capture its subjects very well.GP

Trivia section

The trivia currently reads "The Dwarf Bulbear is the only Dwarf Bulborb in the Grub-Dog family." Green wants to remove this, and I have to agree with him. Dwarf Bulbears are not Dwarf Bulborbs - they are both "dwarves" but they are not related. It might be worthy of a rephrase were it not already covered in detail in the first paragraph of the article, so I think it can be removed completely.

By the way, to the first anon: I think you may have gotten your taxonomy a bit confused. Grub-dog and Breadbug are the families (no scientific name given), Oculus and Pansaurus are the genus names, and terribilis (Spotty/Dwarf Bulbear) and pseudoculii (Dwarf Bulborb) are the species. —Jimbo Jambo 06:40, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Behavior

I've noticed that the Dwarf Bulbears in the Subterranean Lair do actually "switch parents" if their current "parent" is defeated or the Dwarf Bulbear becomes lost. It will follow the nearest Spotty Bulbear if this happens. I was wondering if I should change the Biology section. It currently says the Dwarf Bulbears do not "switch parents."

Why I want to be here

I hope I can help with Pikipedia in some way. I enjoy helping the Pikmin community. I want to share some of my knoledge with everyone. I will try my best to be helpful, and I am glad I am a member of Pikipedia.

Experience

I am quite experienced on the topic of every game, but here is my experience with each one.

Pikmin

I have a fair bit of knowledge on the topic of Pikmin. As of yet, I do not have the game. It recently came out for virtual console on the Wii U, so I plan to get it eventually. When I finally get it, I plan to beat the game 100% with no deaths, like always.

Pikmin 2

I have quite a bit of knowledge on the topic of Pikmin 2. I have completed the game 100% with no deaths on my first playthrough of the game. I beat it on day 32. I have even completed challenge mode with 30 Pink Flowers.

Pikmin 3

I have quite a bit of knowledge on the topic of Pikmin 3 as well. My first playthrough was horrible. I was really bad at the game back then. I got 100% on my second playthrough, but I still lost quite a few Pikmin. My third playthrough was the best one. I beat it 100% with no deaths in 32 days.

Trivia

  • Before I played a Pikmin game for the first time, I used to think Pikmin were "creepy" because the first things I saw were the clay models. I don't think that anymore.
  • Kirby is my "main" on Super Smash Bros.
  • My favorite Pikmin type is Purple Pikmin.
  • I enjoy playing through the Submerged Castle in Pikmin 2, and I sometimes go there for fun.
  • I always have to reset when a Pikmin dies. I can't stand having any Pikmin deaths.
  • My first Nintendo game was The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass.

If you're really sure about that, then sure! Feel free to fix it. It will probably help if you point out that this behavior can be better seen at the Subterranean Lair, so that people who want to see this in action can know how to try it quickly. — {EspyoT} 17:33, 26 September 2016 (EDT)
