This page is part of the merge with Pikmin Wiki, and needs resolving. Please bear with us as we do so. Before the import, this subject had a page both on Pikipedia and Pikmin Wiki. You are currently reading the Pikipedia version, and the Pikmin Wiki version can be found here. Both versions need to be manually merged together and placed on the current page. |

The shaggy long legs is a midboss encountered twice in pikmin 3's story mode. It is first fought (legitmately) at the Tropical Wilds in an arena blocked by an electric fence that's guarded by an Orange Bulborb. To defeat it, you must attack the joints on its legs (2 each leg, 1 high, 1 low, 8 total). Once all the joints are stripped, the hair shielding the main body is gone and you can attack it. Without the hair it's classified as a Baldy Long Legs. The easiest way to defeat it is with Winged Pikmin charging the main body. Like all arachnorbs it explodes when defeated.
Trivia
- The Distant Tundra shaggy long legs is colored white, due to adapting to the freezing conditions
- A variation of this well known glitch allows you to fight this boss earlier than intended, with no time limit!
- It's second form is based of the Tropical Wilds design
- In Mission Mode's Tropical Wilds Remix the Baldy Long Legs you fight has the exact same pattern as the shaggy long legs in story mode, differences in the remix version include having hay in the arena and the second arena is sealed.
- It's has the most appearances as a mid boss in Mission Mode, being 4 times in Forgotten Cove, Tropical Forest, Tropical Wilds Remix and Clockwork Chasm
- Both versions drop fruit that splits in half; the Tropical Wilds one drops a Disguised Delicacy and the Distant Tundra one drops a Stellar Extrusion
