This page is part of the merge with Pikmin Wiki, and needs resolving. Please bear with us as we do so.

Before the import, this subject had a page both on Pikipedia and Pikmin Wiki. You are currently reading the Pikipedia version, and the Pikmin Wiki version can be found here. Both versions need to be manually merged together and placed on the current page.

The Vehemoth Phosbat is the second boss of Pikmin 3 and abducts Charlie. It is a giant moth-like enemy decorated with many lights, and it resides in a cave hidden in the Distant Tundra. The Vehemoth Phosbat will fly in the cave, and will sometimes approach the Pikmin. Upon doing so, it becomes visible and will suck in Pikmin. To defeat the Vehemoth Phosbat, the player must activate the lights in the cave; there are four ground lights and one large light hanging from the ceiling. When the Vehemoth Phosbat is exposed to light, it is stunned and will fall down. However, after a moment, it will rise up, and poison any Pikmin attacking it. After taking some damage, the Vehemoth Phosbat will activate Phosbat Pods, which shoot out Phosbats.

To activate the large light, the player must build a bridge to a giant red box. Upon activating the light, all Phosbats will die, and the Vehemoth Phosbat will struggle to fly for the rest of the battle. If enough Pikmin latch onto the Vehemoth Phosbat, it will fall down, but will rise up again, poisoning any nearby Pikmin. It will also fly to a rock and rest; attacking it will make the Vehemoth Phosbat get off and try to attack your Pikmin. After taking enough damage, the Vehemoth Phosbat flies into the giant light, and dies. It will release Charlie, and a mango, the Heroine's Tear, worth 1 1/2 bottles of juice.
