These creatures are bee-like and are always in swarms. Using ground based Pikmin is practically useless. The best way to defeat a swarm is to use large amounts of Winged Pikmin in order to outnumber them. These enemies look similar to the Scornet maestro which controls them using its harp-like beak.
These enemies are capable of making coordinated formations that are capable of attacking and eventually killing your Pikmin swarm, by picking up your Pikmin, and then flying around the Scornet Maestro , which you can free by throwing a Pikmin at them, or the Pikmin will quickly die.
