Has anyone noticed the Main Engine (the first ship part in Pikmin 1) is in the same place as the Dream Den (the last hole in Pikmin 2). Seems kinda symbolic, the first and last treasures/ship parts being in the same place. Like, te beginning and the end. Seems notable. {{SUBST:User:Touch! Kirby/sig}} 23:52, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Max. carriers

Where does this number come from? How do we know it's not higher than the maximum number of Pikmin available at that point? Obviously it doesn't really matter, but still... Unless you take 'max carriers' to mean 'the most Pikmin it's possible to have lifting it in the course of the game'? GP

I know what you want. It's on everyone's mind: to hack the game and figure out the real maximum number. This should be easy with gameshark codes: I'll do it in a second. Either way, we must mark that number with a note, saying if it is the supposed highest number, or confirmed but unreachable. {EspyoT} 09:11, 8 April 2011 (EDT)
Tried to hack, but can't. {EspyoT} 14:16, 8 April 2011 (EDT)
Hmm, here's the edit that added it. I don't know... Given that there's currently no proof/confirmation that it's the most Pikmin that can carry it (and not just the most you can have carrying it in the normal course of the game), I'll remove it now. GP

So, I'm told it's possible to get out-of-bounds on day 1, throw all Pikmin into the water, then on day 2 there are enough Pellet Posies to find out the maximum number of carriers is 40. Push the box over, then as you walk up, there's a slope where the far left edge of the box connects to the stump; you can walk up this, along the ridge to the left, and around to the grass in front of the gate. Break the gate and throw the Pikmin through (this part's supposedly very hard in the GCN version, much easier in NPC!). GP
