Since I was responsible for the start of Pikipedia, wouldnt it be fair to get my powers back? I have no idea who to contact, but I dont wanna lose my baby --Dark Lord Revan 23:40, 22 September 2010 (EDT)
- I am really sorry Dark Lord Revan, but I have to say that you shouldn't get your wiki powers back. You haven't really edited like some people have. I think it should go without saying that Greenpickle should have the most power in the wiki, if he wishes. It is just that, well, you aren't really involved with the community. 68.81.3.103 14:47, 23 September 2010 (EDT) (IAMAHIPO_ocolor)
- GP woudlnt even be an admin if I hadnt of promoted him. This community wouldnt even be here if I didnt start it. I dont have a pitch ready as for why I should have my powers back, nor do I have a pitch as to my importance to this site. But I can tell you one thing, there is no one who cares more about the well being of this place than I do, you may not always see me around, or will you see me edit much...I may not even sign in alot, but I do care. When I started this site, I thought I was one of the only people who cared about pikmin, but I was obviously, and fortunatly, wrong. But like I said, I wouldnt have started this site if I didnt care about it, and thats why I made the people admin who I did, because I knew they cared about it to. So to say im not involved in the community, may be true to an extent, but it is also completly false. Like I said, this is my baby, and I dont wanna lose her. And hopfully I wont -Dark Lord Revan 21:34, 23 September 2010 (EDT)
- Revan, you didn't promote Greenpickle. Dantman did because you and all the other sysops and bureaucrats were inactive. And you made BNK an admin, he even said he didn't want to be one when the issue was brought up. You don't just randomly promote active users; they ask or are asked.
- ...
Who are you, Revan? You have only made one realedit in the last two years. Ridly Screech! 12:59, 29 September 2010 (EDT)
- Oh my gosh it's the founder of Pikipedia! All hail!Pikdude 16:30, 29 September 2010 (EDT)
- If Revan comes back - I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, I can't look at the user rights log, I got my info from talk pages, and all that. Revan does do his best to improve Pikipedia when he visits.
- It's okay Vol, I get most of my information from talk pages and all that too. Also, I haven't been the most active user, so I've really only seen him twice (counting now), so I have no say in this. I vote give him the powers, it's not like he'll just go and vandalize the main page. Oh, and, by the way Peanut, thanks for making me panic by bringing up the time when my account was hacked and made me think it had happened again. >_<Pikdude 06:56, 30 September 2010 (EDT)
Yes, I think we owe him his powers. Don't mind my earlier comments, sarcasm is one of my gifts. Ridly Screech! 16:02, 30 September 2010 (EDT)
- Not sure if this got here, but I'll just put it here again: I'd find it unfair if Revan got the rights just because he was once active (which I believe is more than 4 years ago by now). I can kind of see where you're coming from, but it's just not reasonable enough. Get more active again, contribute, and you can have all the rights back. But if it stays as is, I'd personally have to say no.--Prezintenden
- Well, we do owe him something, but it's not powers. I'd have to agree with Prez, although most of my knowledge of Revan is from GP.Pikdude 21:36, 1 October 2010 (EDT)
- Being active does not always mean making a million edits per day. Neither does being involved. Like I said, just because I dont edit doesnt mean Im not here doing my job. Hell, its not like im gonna start posting porn and deleting pages--Dark Lord Revan 18:20, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- He said the H-word, BAN HIM! WE DONT TAKE CUSSING ON THIS WIKI!
Seriously, you are trying to get back powers and you go and curse? Wow. That is some tact. Ridly Screech! 20:32, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- Please tell me youre joking...-Dark Lord Revan 20:41, 3 October 2010 (EDT)
- I'm willing to let the cussing slide, seeing as it wasn't an actual swear. Seriously, though, you need to get serious about this. Help out with the wiki. Get on the chatroom. Little things help. Get some edits under your belt, although there's not much going on anymore.Pikdude 07:11, 4 October 2010 (EDT)
- It seems that using the tone of Dark Lord Revan, he wants his power back. I mean, he did have admin rights before the move. Too bad he was too busy to notice the move or he just might of still had his power. I think power belongs to those who work hard for thier people. As it seems, Dark Lord Revan hardly helped out here. The one and only,Peanut64.
- Im still waiting on my powers, but it seems im the only one online at the moment. This is actually why I want my powers back. While I did make other people admin, I did so to prevent the wiki from dieing, which I want to do again, in that event should the need arise -Dark Lord Revan 19:00, 24 December 2010 (EST)
- Looking at the RC right now, I find it hard to believe that the Wiki is currently anywhere close to dieing. I don't know what happened when your old group of mods left, but I personally, as with GP and JJ I'd say, do not plan on simply leaving without making sure there's a successor. Plus, it's not like there isn't someone like Porple around all the time in such cases.
- Really, it's not that I can't understand you, but, I'll say it yet again, just giving you rights with no other reason than that you used to have them once is unfair; depending on your point of view even irresponsible. GP and JJ seem to be avoiding taking a side, and the talk here is more random gibberish than actual argumentation; and you know my opinion. If you get someone to promote you, absolutely fine with me, but, sorry, I'm not going to do it.--Prezintenden
- I don't know about you, Prez, but for days now my watchlist has been dead. True, we're not anywhere close to dying, but the wiki is on a downward spiral into inactivity, and my watchlist has a lot of pages on it. I'm just going to remind you to make sure that there's always a Plan B, and Dark Lord Revan could be a very effective Plan B, when and if the time comes.Pikdude 12:10, 26 December 2010 (EST)THE CHILD OF ATHENA (according to facebook) HAS SPOKEN!!!
- The reason is because of the lack of games in the series and no new ones being released. I'm ssurprised we have this many articles for two games. The wiki will have its death sequences because, well, there isn't really anything to do right now. Of course, we don't completely abandon it and I've been doing maintainance work. --FREAK ~Game Freak~OUT!
- Janitorial duties are very sacred. Without janitors, where would we be? So, in conclusion, I think that Dark Lord Revan could possibly be given minor powers as a show of good faith. We can do that here, right? Patroller or something.Pikdude 15:30, 26 December 2010 (EST)
Wait, you're saying the wiki will die entirely if you don't get powers, yet you just disappeared for almost two months? Bear in mind you made that edit on Christmas day/eve, depending on where you are. GP
- Seems hypocritical, doesn't it? And why do we bear in mind that he made that edit on Christmas day/eve?Pikdude 15:42, 26 December 2010 (EST)
- So ditching me by going to a new site and leaving me out to dry IS fair? Do you think that im going to completly destroy the place with my powers? Why would I do that? Why would I force you to give me my powers back then destroy the place I worked so hard to create? Am I really going to vandilise the place after I banned all of those people in the begginning for doing the same thing? What harm could ever come to giving me the same powers that I had on the old site? I really cant understand why this is so difficult. --22:19, 2 January 2011 (EST)
- Pikdude: he gave no-one being online at that time as evidence the wiki's dying, when you'd hardly expect much activity at Christmas.
- Revan: what I'm saying is, how would you being an admin help anything, if you hardly edit - are hardly even here? I just don't see the point. Have you seen any pages you'd've deleted, any Mediawiki pages you'd've edited, anyone you'd've banned, before an active admin got there first?
- Anyway, if you're this adamant, I guess we can put it up to a vote; I just don't see why your being the original founder should be any sort of factor in the decision. You haven't lost access to the wiki, or the level of input in decisions you can have. You're turning a logical decision into an emotional one. GP
