The Crew-Cut Gourd (ウリボウズ?, lit.: "Gourd Crew-Cut") is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually a zucchini.

Collecting the treasure

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Kingdom of Beasts

There is a Crew-Cut Gourd half-buried at the northwestern corner of sublevel 5 of the Kingdom of Beasts. Upon approaching it, a Dwarf Bulbear will fall from the ceiling and attack you, which should be defeated. To collect this treasure, you must throw 10 Pikmin at it. The path to it is however threatened by a Bulbear and three Dwarf Bulbears following it Which May Hinder The Pikmin Carrying The Treasure Back To Base, so defeating those enemies is practically necessary.

Giant's Hearth

There is a Crew-Cut Gourd in a pool of water in the southwestern corner of the overworld. To collect this treasure, you must move the cardboard box in front of it, and for that, you must either cross the nest of a Bug-Eyed Crawmad in the pool nearby, or approach this treasure from the eastern side of the area, in which case defeating the Bug-Eyed Crawmad is not necessary. To collect this treasure, you must throw 10 Blue Pikmin at it.

Notes

Schnauz's notes

This gourd's selling point is the diversity of ways it can be eaten. Boil it, bake it, or fry it...it all works! Added bonus: when you stand it on end with the stem up, it looks like a fellow with a crew cut. Ha!

Olimar's notes

I once saw a prototype of a spaceship shaped a lot like this. Unfortunately, it didn't fly straight. It just spun around in place. Examples like that are why I prefer a more traditional approach. Being original for the sake of originality is usually a waste of time.

Louie's notes

Stir-fry over medium heat to get that melty inside and crunchy exterior.
