Events are special periods in Pikmin Bloom where in-game rewards are prominent and unique things can happen.

They are announced some time before they happen, in the news section of the main menu, via emails to those who have signed up to receive them, and on the Pikmin Bloom website.

List

The following is a list of events by year.

2021

Pikmin Bloom's first Community Day event occurred on November 13th, 2021. It was set to run from 9:00am to 6:00pm local time, however, due to network issues making players unable to access the game, it was extended to run to 8:00pm.[1] Bonuses of this event included:[2]

  • Big Flowers bloomed into pansies when regular flowers were planted around them.
    • This effect started the day before and continued throughout the weekend.
  • Users who walked 10,000 steps or more earned a special Community Day Participant badge.
  • Fruits gave twice the nectar.
  • Seedlings in the Planter Pack grew at 1.5 times the normal speed.
    • To have received this badge, players needed to log in to the game at least once in the 2 weeks after the event.

This event was announced on November 4th, 2021,[3] just 9 days after the game's global release.

Pikmin Bloom's second Community Day occurred on December 18th, 2021. It was themed around poinsettia flowers, and lasted for the whole day. Bonuses included:[4]

  • Big Flowers bloomed into poinsettias when regular flowers were planted around them.
  • Players achieving the 10,000 step goal on this day were awarded a special poinsettia flower badge.
  • Seedlings in the Planter Pack grew at 1.5 times the usual speed. This effect was stackable with the flower planting multiplier.

This event was announced on December 2nd, 2021.[5][6] During this event, the step counter on the main menu was replaced with a special poinsettia-themed step counter graphic, which linked to the news menu when tapped before reaching the goal, and the badge's information page after reaching the goal. This made the regular step counter inaccessible. Following the event, challenges gave poinsettia nectar instead of pansy nectar.

For a limited time centered around Christmas, Roadside-type Decor Pikmin wore special holiday-themed stickers instead of the standard letter stickers. This applied to any Pikmin sprouted during this period, regardless of when it reached Decor status. It started on December 21st, 2021 after being announced the day before,[7] and finished on January 11th, 2022. This is the first event to introduce limited-time special Decor Pikmin. There was another effect of this event which was announced later, which was that coins will be earned 1 for every 250 flowers planted instead of 1 for every 500 flowers planted, capped at 60 coins per day, and lasting for the duration of the event.[8]

This event was announced on January 13th, 2022. The change to the main menu seen in the second Community Day returned in this event, this time with a camellia-themed step counter. Following the event, challenges gave camellia nectar instead of poinsettia nectar.
