See my talk. Here's a quick(-ish) idea of what I think should be in it; give ideas and such.

"The Pikmin series follows Captain Olimar's encounters with aliens called Pikmin over two games. Pikipedia (*), founded by Dark Lord Revan as a Wikia wiki in December 2005, aims to be the foremost source of Pikmin information. In September 2010, Pikipedia moved away from Wikia to become independent. With the release of a third Pikmin title imminent, there's no better place to be."

* The other ones have an abbreviation here. Discussion I had on it:

[19:25:19] <Jimbo_Jambo> Do we need one?
[19:25:32] <Greenpickle> Iunno, just noticed the others had one
[19:25:36] <Jimbo_Jambo> Mm
[19:25:39] <Greenpickle> there must be some reason
[19:25:49] <-> Miles_ is now known as The_Wiki_Confederacy
[19:25:57] <Jimbo_Jambo> Ease of use?
[19:26:01] <Jimbo_Jambo> God dammit Miles
[19:26:11] <Jimbo_Jambo> Stop making fun of my overactive imagination
[19:26:28] <Jimbo_Jambo> Unfortunately our name is all one work
[19:26:49] <Jimbo_Jambo> We don't have the luxury of being able to abbreviate "Pikmin Wiki" as PW or something like that
[19:27:20] <Jimbo_Jambo> But then again Bulbapedia did it
[19:27:38] <Jimbo_Jambo> Following their example it would seem like PP would be most appropriate
[19:27:49] <Jimbo_Jambo> But I dunno, it just doesn't sound...us
[19:27:56] <Greenpickle> ...Miles
[19:28:11] <Greenpickle> ease of use of what?
[19:28:18] <Greenpickle> ...is 'P' fine?
[19:28:29] <Jimbo_Jambo> Instead of typing out "Zelda Wiki" or whatever every time
[19:28:31] <Jimbo_Jambo> P
[19:28:32] <Jimbo_Jambo> Haha
[19:28:34] <Greenpickle> I just saw the one-word Bulbapedia used 2 symbols too
[19:28:42] <Jimbo_Jambo> Yeah
[19:28:54] <Jimbo_Jambo> As I said
[19:28:56] <Greenpickle> oh, qust read you said that
[19:28:59] <Greenpickle> *just
[19:29:02] <Greenpickle> hadn't got there
[19:29:03] <Jimbo_Jambo> Right
[19:29:15] <Jimbo_Jambo> We've never really used one though
[19:29:19] <Jimbo_Jambo> Not that I recall
[19:29:36] <Jimbo_Jambo> We could call it PIK
[19:29:36] <Greenpickle> I would say Pk, lower-case k, is closer to the word
[19:29:41] <Jimbo_Jambo> Mm
[19:29:56] <Greenpickle> but yes, P is, above all, different.
[19:30:10] <Jimbo_Jambo> Who's gonna use that though?
[19:30:15] <Greenpickle> heheh
[19:30:20] <Jimbo_Jambo> "Yeah, I read on P that Pikmin 3 is coming out"
[19:30:35] <Jimbo_Jambo> "I'm an active contributor on P"
[19:30:44] <Greenpickle> oh yes
[19:30:47] <Greenpickle> perfect
[19:31:49] <Jimbo_Jambo> "Pkmn", not to be confused with the abbreviation for Pokemon
[19:33:05] <Greenpickle> well, people say 'wiki'
[19:33:09] <Greenpickle> so...'piki'?
[19:33:10] <Greenpickle> ...
[19:33:32] <Jimbo_Jambo> Heh
[19:34:15] <Jimbo_Jambo> I think we should first check whether or not an abbreviation is actually necessary
[19:34:27] <Jimbo_Jambo> Unless you just really want to have one
[19:35:21] <Greenpickle> yeah
[19:35:38] <Greenpickle> I'll ask the guy

I have indeed asked the guy. Also, could the last sentence could do with some sort of extension? GP

And the response:

"I suppose you could decide on it yourselves, but when we use interwiki links. Like say a pikmin cameo is in Kirby's Epic Yarn, instead of linking to Wikipedia for our readers to get more info on Pikmin, I'd use {{PKW|Olimar}} and that would go to the Olimar article you have. It's not entirely consistent since I wanted MW for MediaWiki, and put Metroid Wiki as "meow" in WiKirby's interwiki link table. They actually deserved that for complaining so much about some silly things on WiKirby namely the tag line "It's a Wiki. About Kirby", using ".info" for the domain, etc. None of which I'll change bc I told them to google "Kirby info" and they'll see WiKirby in the top results, the tagline has to be funny bc Kirby games are amusing."

I suggest 'PK', then; anyone else agree/disagree? GP
