How to obtain	Have been on a night expedition, and have at least 5 Glow Pikmin in the squad.

The Glow Seed is a pack item introduced in Pikmin 4 that can spawn 1 Glow Pikmin when used. They can only be used on night expeditions or caves, and cannot be used if there are already 100 Pikmin on the field. When spawned, a Glow Pikmin will be put into an idle state where the seed lands, where it will either begin working on a nearby task or return to the leader's party if none are available.

Locations

The player gets 1 Glow Seed for each 5 Glow Pikmin propagated during a night expedition. This includes the starting Glow Pikmin, those grown normally, and those created by Glow Seeds, and Glow Pikmin that die over the course of a night will not take away from this total. Glow Seeds are added to the player's inventory at the end of a night expedition. A Glow Seed counts as a Pikmin grown for François's mission when it is generated, not when it is planted.

A maximum of 20 Glow Seeds can be grown in a single night, since only 100 Glow Pikmin may appear on the field. Additional seeds may be acquired in a single night if the Lumiknoll is destroyed and the expedition is retried – the Seeds that would have been awarded from the failed attempt are awarded following the successful clear.
