The scent reminded me of something strangely nostalgic, like the memory when I was still embraced by my mother, or the time when I was allowed to spoil for no reason. Those happy memories are the very thing which form current myself. By the way, I haven't go back to my hometown recently.

• Ship

The milky scent remind you of a bunch of nostalgic days. The moratorium when spoiling for no reason was allowed. Those happy memories are the very thing which form current yourselves, aren't they?

What about this:

Olimar: "The scent reminds me of something strangely nostalgic, like my memories of when I was still embraced by my mother, or the time when I was spoiled for no reason. Those happy memories are the the reason that I can be here now. By the way, I haven't returned home recently."

Ship: "The milky scent is reminiscent of nostalgic days, the time when being spoiled for no reason was allowed. Those happy memories are the very things which form your current self."
