Days are confusing

To anyone who will see this post, I've measured the duration of the day in Pikmin twice : in the Impact Site, and in the Forest of Hope. I've found that, in the Impact Site, the day lasts 13 minutes and 30 seconds; howewer, in the Forest of Hope, the day lasts 14 minutes and 35 seconds. I play on NPC Pikmin. I'm a little confused...

Is it possible that days don't have the same duration, depending in which area the player is ? Could this also mean that Pikmin and NPC Pikmin have different durations ?

Anyway, in NPC Pikmin 2, I've found 13 minutes and 2 seconds; and in Pikmin 3, I've measured 13 minutes and 5 seconds. Hugik (talk) 17:06, 15 August 2018 (EDT)

Oh, that'd be really nasty if each area has its own duration... The times that are in the article were measured by me on a real GameCube (Wii U for P3), all European games, except the US/JP Pikmin measurement, since that one was in a mostly-accurate emulator. My EU P1 measurement was in The Impact Site too, which matches up with the times you got... I'll test The Forest of Hope on emulator (US GC P1) and see what happens. I like how your NPCP2 time matches mine exactly, but it's a bit weird how you got 5 extra seconds in P3... — {EspyoT} 14:39, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
Ok, I will try to measure the duration in the other areas, to see if they are different. For info, I play NPC Pikmin on my Wii U. For Pikmin 3, I've noticed that the day can continue a little, even if the countdown has reached 0. I think that we got different durations just because of this :). Well, I just tested US GC P1, and EU Wii NPCP1 on an emulator, and I tried both The Impact site and The Forest of Hope... and I got 13:30 in all four tests. I wonder if the Wii U adds some extra lag. Can you please measure The Forest of Hope again, but this time, when the day starts, go to a corner of the area far from the landing site, and zoom in to the closest zoom level? Thanks! — {EspyoT} 15:31, 16 August 2018 (EDT)
