Should we have explosions in the hazards row? Because some caves do and some don't.GP
- No, I don't think so. The hazards rather tell you what Pikmin to take into a cave, and since there aren't Pikmin invulnerable to explosions (which you probably know by now), it's enough if they're in the guides.--Prezintenden
- Hm. I think that that we should have it on there because knowing other hazards can still affect the color ratios of the Pikmin squad you bring into the cave. For example, someone might bring more White Pikmin into a cave with explosions because they can run faster. Vol (Talk)
Picture
I stumbled upon this again. What do you think? Would it be worth adding pictures of the caves and surrounding area itself? I'm getting a hang of the camera now, so I could definatly help with this.--Prezintenden
More info
We should include candy-pop bud colors in the template. Also, it'd be really great if someone who can take screenshots could replace the generic cave image with an actual image of the hold on each page. Vol (Talk)
- I think the candypop buds should be on their own section. It's not too important as info, and it's not quite different from the number of enemies. What do you mean "image of the hold"? {EspyoT} 09:22, 29 March 2011 (EDT)
- I think that the info is pretty important if one is trying to increase their number of Purple and White Pikmin. Also, there are only six kinds of Candypop Buds and and sections on cave pages would be only a few bullets long. Also, I meant a screenshot of the cave's entrance and the surrounding area. Vol (Talk)
- Hmm, wait, area around the entrance? I thought an overview image of a typical sublevel would be better, like the image at Glutton's Kitchen (lower down: that is, I think that should be the infobox image). GP
- I'm not following some of the aspects being discussed here. Well, let's just gather the facts: caves are generated randomly each time, so a map as the infobox' image would be impossible. The best idea would be to enter the cave, and take a screenshot of the most notable floor, preferably catching in the screenshot the thing that makes the floor so notable. Don't we have a way to capture screenshots without the HUD? {EspyoT} 07:41, 30 March 2011 (EDT)
- Yeah, that's what I was saying, whereas Vol was saying to have the infobox image always be the area around where you start on the first sublevel, if I'm understanding him. (As I was saying, look at the image in the walkthrough part of Glutton's Kitchen - that's what I think would go best in the infobox.) And I can't get them without the HUD and don't know if it's possible, but I don't think it's much of a problem. In fact, it might confuse some people to see the game without the HUD. GP
- Right, that image in the Glutton's Kitchen would work well. But maybe, for that cave in particular, a picture of the last sublevel with the Giant Breadbug could be better. But I digress. Removing the HUD might be possible with an emulator, but it might be too hard. It's just that, for a screenshot, having the HUD is ok, but for an infobox image... having tiny HUD elements that can hardly be understood (as the infobox image is rather small) is a bit of a waste, and instead of making it look like a picture of the cave, it looks like it's a picture of someone playing the cave. I hope that wasn't hard to understand. {EspyoT} 07:57, 30 March 2011 (EDT)
- I didn't mean a map of the inside of the cave, I meant a map of the outside hole, like the image that is being used right now. I was saying we should upload images like that of each of the caves instead of just having one image to represent all caves. Vol (Talk)
Hazards Link?
In regards to the recent deletion of Hazards, should the Hazards link in the template be removed? Pikmin.Fan1991 (talk) 14:49, October 6, 2013 (UTC)
